“Great location in Irvine”

The Spectrum Double Tree is in a convenient location in Irvine, CA. It's close to a number of freeways and also a couple of large shopping malls. The hotel is well maintained, the staff are friendly and courteous, and the amenities are nice. One thing I do not like, minor though it is, is the fact the hotel charges a per-night parking fee. I can understand a parking charge, say, in downtown LA, but not in the wide open spaces of Orange County!

“Don't drink and drive”

This hotel is in a perfect location... walking distance to the Verizon wireless ampitheatre and the Irvine spectrum center. If you're a little lazy they even have a shuttle bus that runs to the Spectrum center and for a small fee will take and pick you up from any concert at the ampitheatre. The only down side is Sunday nights everything closes at 11 or 12 besides Denny's which if you're up for the walk is about a mile and a half from the hotel.

“Very good experience”

Excellent experience. Very friendly desk staff. Room very comfortable. Very quiet. Excellent access to both I-5 and I-405 freeways.

“Great for Irvine”

Great place to stay if going to the Verizon Center or the Irvine Spectrum. Shuttle takes you back and forth to the Spectrum and for a fee will take you a little further away. May be cheaper to take a cab for distance travel. First rate breakfast. Pool is adequate.

“Excellent experience I will return”

The room was clean and the staff was accomodating. I will definately return when I'm back in the area.

“Great hotel”

My husband and I booked this hotel as it was the closest one to where he was going for a conference. I found the staff very helpful and friendly. We were told that we would have to pay for parking our rental overnight but it turned out that since we were honest about it they didn't charge us so honesty saves. The hotel was very close to the Irvine Spectrum where I spent a lot of time while my husband was at his conference. The hotel was lovely from check-in to check-out and the warm cookies were always a plus.

“Good- except for the Non-smoking room”

Overall, this is a nice facility and the shuttle to the amphitheatre was great. But the "non-smoking" room had clearly been smoked in in the recent past. If I ever stay there again, I will be more insistent beforehand that I need a smoke-free room.

“Average Stay”

Stayed here to go to an event at raging waters before it closed. Nice room, bed was comfy, staff was ok nothing special. Check in is not til 3 and check out is at 12. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Hotel was pretty lenient about having other people in your room...they just dont want you to be loud. Pool open til 11pm and they let us blast our music.
