“Great Luxury and Location”
My wife and I recently stayed at the Balboa Bay Club over Valentine's Day weekend. The accomodations, food, drink, and service were all outstanding. The concierge at the club planned our entire 4 day visit in Orange County and we couldn't have had a better time. This is our second visit to the club and won't be our last.
“5 Star Experience”
Excellent rooms, great staff, good food. Every whim catered to expeditiously! These guys know how to do it right!
“Can't wait to return”
The Balboa Bay Club and Resort 4 Diamond hotel was excellent! The service was outstanding. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and elegant. The First Cabin Restaurant service was excellent and the food was delicious. It was nice to sit on the patio near the bay for breakfast. Plan to pay for valet parking.
“Great stay!”
Great room...great service..
“Recommend, but with caution.”
I am an everyday, hard-working, under-paid, father and husband. I choose to stay at Balboa Bay Club and Resort on our vacation because it was the best value for lodging in the vicinity. Was it? Yes, and no. This property was not kid friendly. They are allowed, but it was obvious the property was never designed to entertain them. I believe BBC should have a minimum guest age requirement to keep from disappointing parents. The rooms are too small to accomodate two beds and family luggage. There were no children's channels on the television. Unless you want to swim laps, forget the pool. Self-parking IS available. TV's and Lodgenet services are antique. Beds were super-comfy, but I was getting poked in the back all night by feather quills. Dudes like me should know there is a Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and McDonald's across the street. I wished I had planned better so that I could have rented a Duffy boat for two hours ($200) and toured the bay with my family, but they are only available during midday. Call the spa to schedule in advance. The service, cleanliness, and location was exactly what I expected. Thanks BBC! Bottom line. I would absolutely stay at Balboa Bay Club and Resort again if I was travelling alone or with my wife. But, not with kids of any age.
“Very Impressed”
Great Hotel
“Love it!”
Very well maintained. Service people are very polite. Excellent location. Good for a weekend trip.
“I would like to back to this hotel, soon.”
Luxury & nice hotel next to the ocean
“Newport Beach Trip”
Great spot if you're new to the area and planning on meeting others to show you around. I would recommend staying by the beach if you're alone and want to experience some night life (avg age by the beach is 20 - 45).
“Newport's gem”
This hotel is very nice and well maintained. The rooms are nice, although a bit small. Given that it is Newport Beach and parking is at a premium, I still found their parking rates a bit high, with little option but valet parking. I have stayed there on two occasions, each has been a very positive experience. I would definitely stay here when I am in town, whether for business or pleasure!
