“SPLIT DOWN THE MIDDLE!”
This motel needs some repair (by someone that knows what they are doing) very shabby work.Only quick fixes.Helpers very nice, owner not so sure(OK) rooms clean (except carpet)quite!(except rooms close to freeway)nice breakfast.rates are good.close to shopping and eating places.Has SMOKING rooms.(had to trade - do not smoke.(Thought this was against the law in CALIFORNIA?
“Never book Super 8 Again”
Very disrespectful. They hang up on you when you ask for information. Not helpful at all, the manager unwilling to corporate. Housekeepers walk in on you whiling you are sleeping. Not worth a cent to reserve no matter what the price is. The hotel was not in the area it appeared on the map.
“Less than impressive”
The TV in the room could only access a couple of channels clearly. Most of the channels, including local ones, were very snowy. The bed needs to be replaced in the room that I was in. It definitely sagged in the middle and was not that comfortable. I have stayed in this facility a number of times in the past couple of years and this is the only time that I have been disappointed in the accommodations.
“Manager were horrible”
When I checked in the man at the front dest was very short, as If I should of known his check in process. When I got to the room I showered(long drive) but I should of checked the condition of the room before showering. Base boards were missing, stains on the wall, mildew in the caulking in the bathroom and not cleaned very well. I called the front desk to advise of the condition of the room. I stated I wasn't planning on moving to another room but I just wanted to advise of the overall condition so they might want to plan on fixing it up. Manager became VERY HOSTILE with me stating,"your not moving, that you room"(very poor English). I tried to explain I wasn't requesting a new room but just wanted to advise and he cut me off and said,"too bad". I was so bothered by the experience that I called Expedia to complain. Over all the location was cool- noise wasn't that loud- will I stay there again? HECK NO- would I recommend it to someone else?-If they didn't care about customer service- sure.
“Uneventful sleep in Montclair, Ca”
Arrived pretty late. Went right to sleep. Convenient location, but someone might have a problem with the noise from I-10. Not the newest hotel I have experienced, but it looked and smelled clean.
“This hotel was dirty and the internet was not working.”
The bathrooms/bathtub was dirty and had mold on the walls. Towels looked dirty also. Did not take a bath during my stay at this place. Beds were extreamly hard. This hotel should be a half of a star. I feel like I overpaid for this room.
“Needed a Room, Got a Room”
There was nothing special about the Super 8, nor was there anything 'super' about it. The location is RIGHT next to the 10 freeway, which provides a constant soundtrack of car noise day and night. I chose not to use the pool on offer because it, too, was RIGHT next to the freeway, (separated by little more than a fence and maybe 20 feet from traffic). My laptop's wall adapter was only able to plug in to one of the outlets in the room (the one near the bathroom vanity). That said, I was able to fall asleep on the bed, the shower worked (and though as a tall traveler I am used to bending over in the shower to wash my hair, the shower head in my room was extremely low even by hotel standards), the continental breakfast was relatively well stocked and provided quite a few options beyond the standard plastic-wrapped danish, and the fridge in my room was quite generously sized. In the end, I can't complain too much about the place: I needed a room, and for a reasonable rate, I got a room.
“Beware of LOUD highway noise! You won't be sleeping much.”
Managers were rude and spoke poor English, but that is insignificant. The real problem is the UNBEARABLE NOISE. The freeway is right behind this hotel with no sound wall to quiet the area. It is so loud you literally can't hold a conversation outside! Once you shut the door, you no longer have to raise your voice to talk, but you will very likely have difficulty sleeping. The road noise is louder than the AC unit, and the traffic in this area never stops. Now, the rates are very low, so if you're on a tight budget, a heavy sleeper, and don't intend to do anything at the hotel (eg, pool) or just on a tight budget, this may be fine for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and pay a little bit more to stay at the Super 8 in Ontario -- it's very quiet, has friendly staff, and much higher quality rooms and furnishings.
“You can do better.”
I chose this motel to save money, but it became apparent that I should have paid the extra and stayed at the Ramada Inn in Ontario, like I did in the past. This motel was very functional and besides being a smoking room, it served my purpose fine. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room, so saving money with groceries was not an option. The continental breakfast in the mornings was fine: cereal, bagels, muffins, coffee, and orange juice. Altogether it was a fine motel, but a better motel can be had for just a little more money. This motel is fine for a quick overnight stay, but I would not recommend it for a week long stay. Plus, even though it did not bother me, if you are a light sleeper, avoid this hotel because it is right next to Interstate 10 (I10).
“Can't wait to go back. Nice motel.”
This motel is close to a shopping mall and the Ontario Airport. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable.
