“Loft - nice hotel”

Nice hotel, good location. Cleaning could be better. Wireless internet would not support VPN. Staff was great.

“very cool!”

the pictures of this hotel don't lie! hotels always look one way on line and can be significantly different in real life. aloft is actually really nice. pretty comfy and not expensive. people who work there are friendly. there's a pool, gym, bar, pool table... lots of things to do. location is conveniently close to airport and shops, etc. can't wait to go back!

“Thanks for taking care of things and making them right!”

We came down from Seattle to see the Nascar races, and although this was a very new hotel, we were very well taken care of. We had some trouble with being shuttled to and from the races; however, the hotel made sure that we were compensated for our troubles and took care of us, helping us to get a cab and then paying for it when they couldn't get a shuttle to us. Also, when there was an error in billing, they were right on it! There are still some kinks that need to be worked out, but overall, the experience was a positive one, the staff was friendly, and the hotel room and pool design/concept was beyond our expectations. Thank you!

“Above average hotel”

Everything looked clean. Bed was comfortable. The controls for the a/c were simple. The tv was a good size. They need more channel selections and better towels.

“Great Showers”

I was redoing the pipes at my house. It had been 3 days without water. I needed a place that I could take a shower and get a good sleep. Aloft had great rates as I needed two rooms and the showers were great. The staff was really friendly even though I looked and smelled like I was homeless. The bed was confortable but the pillows were rather small. They allowed us a late checkout without charging us extra. If I ever need a place to stay again near my home I'll be going back.

“Modern hotel experience”

Hotel is really nice, very modern. The draw back of the hotel, is the design it is so modern the hallways and lobby are warm. It seems to be for energy saving purposes, but can be uncomfortable hauling luggage up and down. Pool table and bar in the lobby are real nice. Our room was clean and comfortable, no tub, the toliet kept breaking.

“A good value...as long as you don't mind some noise”

It's a small hotel and if you just want a comfortable bed, a desk, and a good, clean shower then you would like this hotel. Because of it's size you do hear people playing in the pool and Thursday nights there's a DJ in the lobby so that was uncomfortably loud for me. (Not the music but all the people screaming and laughing because of the music!) I would consider staying here again...it's far better quality than you would normally find in this price range and the staff was friendly. I also enjoyed the room decor but be warned...the shower has a frosted glass wall that faces the bedroom so if you're sharing a room with someone they'll see more than you may want them to!

“Style Over Substance”

If you like modern architecture and interior design, and are on a budget, then the aloft may be your spot. The staff was friendly and acommodating and the environment easy on the eyes. The room was great looking and clean but featured: A toilet that ran non-stop, a sink-stopper that wasn't working, controls for the blinds that had been ripped out of the walls, and a single light fixture over the bathroom vanity that had been disabled due to a recall. This made the sink area unusably dark yet no alternate lighting was provided. Fortunately, I was able to fix the toilet and sink and the blind controls didn't affect their operation; just looked tacky. The other issue we had was with hotel serving as a local watering hole. Our second floor room, above the main entrance, took the brunt of boisterous drinkers as they stepped outside for a smoke or whatever. Solution: Get a room higher up, on the end, or one pool-side. The much-discussed shower "window"; is a non-issue. The window is out of sight on the far side of the room and is frosted. It will disappoint exhibitionists and only bother Puritans. My wife and I both liked how it dramatically lightened-up the beautiful walk-in shower with its tile/slate/glass construction. You'll also find a 42" flat-screen with inputs for iPods and DVD's and in-room iron/ironing board. Not my worst stay ever, but a first-class operation would have fixed the toilet and blind controls, and made some kind of accommodation for the light fixture.

“Decent hotel needs improvements”

Being from the Starwood family of hotels, I guess I expected more. On our first night, there were sketchy individuals roaming the halls, drinking and making a lot of noise. The person at the front desk was somewhat understanding but not pleasant at all. As we stood waiting for the elevator back to our room, a LARGE cockroach ran across our path! The look of the hotel is cool, the location is ideal, and the rooms are comfortable. Unfortuanately, the overall experience of the hotel was not optimal.
