"Comfortable in Old Quèbec"
We arrived in Old Quèbec on the Saturday of a big music festival, held in Artillery Park near our hotel. The streets and sidewalks were packed. It was a bit nerve-wracking, but the kind staff at Manoir d'Auteuil helped us all they could. Once we got our bags deposited and our car in the garage, we could finally relax and enjoy the atmosphere of this historic district, with good restaurants and everything we wanted to do accessible on foot from our hotel. We especially enjoyed watching the changing of the guard at Artillery Park on Sunday morning. The bilingual staff at Manoir d'Auteuil were courteous and helpful. Having breakfast on the hotel's beautiful patio in near-perfect weather was one of the delights of our visit. Our room was on the fourth floor, and, although there was no elevator, the walk up was much easier than we anticipated. Although small, the room was pretty and serviceable. It looked out on the rear of the hotel and we were never bothered by noise. All in all, the Manoir d'Auteuil was a good place from which to enjoy the charms of Old Quèbec.

"Solid value in the right location"
Hotel Acadia had a definite 3 star European feel. Getting to the bathrooms from the lobby involved down the hall, turn right, turn right, up short flight of stairs, down a short flight, turn left, then down a longer flight, like a lot of places where I've stayed in Britain. The room was quite good, spacious and comfortable, with old stone walls. The lobby is small and not at all fancy. The location was good, in old town near the sights. It was directly across the street from our greatest surprise of our trip, the restaurant Le Saint Amour, a wonderful place with great food hidden behind a rather bland street front. Don't expect to be staying in a Regency Hotel or the like, but if you like good rooms at a value price and do not need a fancy lobby, try the Acadia. Just don't spend 10$ Canadian on the off site breakfast buffet- it was VERY weak.

"Nice hotel, close to everything, but so small."
It is a nice hotel. However, it is small, they do not have room service. Small refrigerator inside the room is empty. You cannot find even a water in your room. Vallet parking is a bit problematic. You need to wait for a long time to leave and then to get the car back from the front.

"Excellent hotel in the heart of QC!"
So we LOVED this Hotel! We arrived about an hour before checkin on a Saturday and pleased to find out that our room was ready. When we arrived to the room, i squealed like a little girl. Our room was a loft! There was a lovely sitting area and stairs going up to where the bed was. The bathroom had a claw foot tub and silk/terry cloth robes, and there was a kerig coffee maker! Now i do not know if we were just lucky and got upgraded or what. However i doubt that there is a bad room in the place (though all are probably not suites like were lucky to get). The staff was very pleasant and spoke English beautifully and with no attitude. However I have to give special props to Charles who was extemely helpful to us. The hotel's location is PERFECT! It is walking distance from many great restaurants and located right across the street from a taxi stand. We would definitely stay here again!
