"All we had hoped for!"
It was for mom's birthday and as our family lives in Quebec City, we knew this hotel was great, always hearing positive reviews. From the moment we arrived, all was perfect: the staff, the magnificent renovated hotel, our room, the food and boutiques! The only thing is that I had received a discount as my brother works at the hotel but because I had paid with expedia, I did not get my discount. Anything I can do about that next time?

"Will be back for sure at Hotel Champlain"
Arrived very late for check-in. Staff (Gabriel) was very accommodating and speaks perfect English. Our room is very clean and spacious. Breakfast is pretty decent. Wifi was quite slow but we still managed to check-in on line for our flight. Location is very accessible to everywhere. We had a wonderful stay in Quebec.

"Quiet hotel in Vieux-Quebec"
This was my first trip to Quebec City and first stay at Le Port Royal Suites. I enjoyed staying at this hotel and liked its location, as it is on the fringe of vieux Quebec. The room was spacious, and included a kitchen with dishes. Especially good, if you don't always want to eat in a restaurant. I had breakfast in the restaurant and it was very good. There is only one elevator though, but it didn't bother me, as I like to take the stairs.

"Perfect location, great restaurant, good room"
We stayed in late October for 3 nights. The breakfasts were consistently superb on a varied menu and the one dinner we had was excellent. The location can't be beat if you want to explore Quebec on foot as it's right next to the information centre and Musee de Fort, which are the best places to start. Also on the Ecobus 21 route which for CAD2 gives you a great overview of the downtown area.

"Great Location & Comfort"
I had a wonderful experience here. The hotel is located very close to a tourist friendly shopping street (Rue Saint-Jean) with lots of restaurants, shops, bakeries, and a pharmacy. There is a fast-food restaurant (Chez Ashton) next door that's open until 4AM, which is convenient after a night out on Grand Allée. Perfect access to most of the sights in Upper Town (Haute-Ville) and about a 20 minute walk from the Lower Town (Basse-ville). The hotel was very clean and there is a pool & gym in the basement. I only visited the gym which was basic and there isn't anything to wipe down the machines with after, so there is room for improvement there. However, our room was very spacious and spotless.

"Feel the City!"
We arrived very late, after losing luggage intransit, and we took a cab to this hotel. Unassuming from the outside, it was SPECTACULAR on the inside. We were quickly given a welcome and a key to a stunning room. The window was left open to experience the pleasant summer night, and we fell in love with our surroundings. While the structure is an antique, the interior is perfectly upgraded to show off the old brick and bring in modern touches where needed, like the bath. It was a warm hug after a long, tough, travel. Breakfast made to order was provided as part of the stay: The menu was extensive and the items we had were fantastic. The servers were upbeat, pleasantly bilingual, and one even sang as he did his work. We loved this enough to consider a return visit to Quebec City - just to love up this hotel a bit longer.
