Fantastic location, beautiful hotel, great room (we had a remodeled one), exceptional staff either for their kindness than for their help, I recommend strongly this hotel.

"Quiet hotel in Vieux-Quebec"
This was my first trip to Quebec City and first stay at Le Port Royal Suites. I enjoyed staying at this hotel and liked its location, as it is on the fringe of vieux Quebec. The room was spacious, and included a kitchen with dishes. Especially good, if you don't always want to eat in a restaurant. I had breakfast in the restaurant and it was very good. There is only one elevator though, but it didn't bother me, as I like to take the stairs.

"Character, Location, Value"
My wife and I just spent 4 days at Auberge Place d'Armes, this being our second stay. This is a wonderful boutique hotel, full of character and charm. It's in a very old stone building, but the rooms are well designed with contemporary touches contrasting with stone and brick walls. The location is superb for exploring the old town and the lower town, as well as being a stone's throw from museums, cathedrals, and a number of excellent restaurants - one of which is on the ground floor of this hotel. The staff is enthusiastic and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

"Great Location & Comfort"
I had a wonderful experience here. The hotel is located very close to a tourist friendly shopping street (Rue Saint-Jean) with lots of restaurants, shops, bakeries, and a pharmacy. There is a fast-food restaurant (Chez Ashton) next door that's open until 4AM, which is convenient after a night out on Grand Allée. Perfect access to most of the sights in Upper Town (Haute-Ville) and about a 20 minute walk from the Lower Town (Basse-ville). The hotel was very clean and there is a pool & gym in the basement. I only visited the gym which was basic and there isn't anything to wipe down the machines with after, so there is room for improvement there. However, our room was very spacious and spotless.

"Great boutique hotel"
There was a problem with our reservation upon arrival (wrong room), but this was taken care of swiftly and with an upgrade. The room was gorgeous, the service and staff were incredible, and the down duvet and pillows made me never want to get out of bed! Great hotels for couples looking for some extra romance :)
