"A place in the right place with personality"
LHotel would be hard to beat for the rate we got (under $200 US with all taxes, etc.) It's just a couple of blocks from the Victoria Metro stop on one side and the best of the old city on the other. It has the idiosyncrasies of an old building retrofitted as a hotel, but the retrofit is so good that they give it charm and individuality rather than requiring any functional compromise. The staff could not have been more pleasant. Our room had a high ceiling, lots of space, a bathroom down a hall (minimizing noise), refrigerator and Heurig coffeemaker (but no microwave, oddly; still, we always carry a small immersion heater).

"Good location...next to subway and in Old Montreal"
Very nice hotel. Pool was small but comfortable. Parking as usual is very expensive. Really liked being next to subway. Bought 3 day pass and visited all over city. Beds are comfortable and clean. Decor is usual. Blackout drapes actually blackout!! Love the dual shower head from Westin. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

"So this is what they mean by "boutique hotel"."
Spent a week in Montreal in December a few years back. It was the coldest I'd ever been in my life, but I resolved to visit again with my wife - in the summer. That resolution came to mind while I was staring at my expired passport a few weeks ago, and realizing my vacation this year was going to be somewhere in the "home and native land". I fondly remembered the vieux-port on my first visit, so that's where I looked for a base of operations.

"Great Stay at St. Paul"
Very nice modern hotel right on the edge of Old Montreal...very convenient to all...clean, great bed...much cheaper than similar places right around the corner...highly recommended...one word of advise...don't use the valet car parking for $26 Canadien per day....cheap parking at half the price or less is available in several lots right near the hotel...

"My stay at Montreal's Intercontinental Hotel"
I found my room very spacious and comfortable. It was also very quiet, even in the morning. It has a fitness centre and spa which was good, and is in a good location across from Jean Claude Riopelle park. Interesting fountain in the park at night. Easy walk to shiopping etc. and there is a shopping mall attached to the hotel. Also link to the St. James Hotel next to the Intercontinental. The only drawback was a limited view of the city from my room. A room at the front of the hotel would have a better view I am sure.

"Great location!"
Mom(54) and daughter(31) vacation, montreal and quebec for 5nights from usa. Location was perfect in old port area. Breakfast is a big plus, incl. Hot food to order, yummy. Main old town shops and cafe right behind our hotel, st.paul street. Notre dame very close by and also china town for a nice dimsum for lunch. We even tried the hotels restaurant for dinner on our last night and that was very good. Metro is also very easy to use and I recommend buying a 3 day metro pass which includes the 747 airport bus to downtown and then a 10 dollar cab ride to hotel, thats incl the tip.

"Perfectly "suite"!"
First trip to Montreal! Lovely, lovely accommodations....though near everything, bustling street, all was quiet! Clean, extremely comfortable; will definitely stay here again when returning to Montreal. Though there were only two of us (one used the bedroom, the other the pullout sofa bed), there would be plenty of room for a family with small children. Oh, Sunday Brunch on the terrace was probably the high point of the trip!

"Beyond criticism"
It's an hotel that caters to a style and taste, and the tasting menu is an experience. The staff across the board is witty, helpful and attentive if needs be. The atmosphere is calm and pleasurable differentiating it from the rush of most hotels. Yet it is near most facilities that are internationally relevant for the city. Would never go any where else in Montreal.

With so much history of the area, the museums of the neighbourhood are often geared towards Montreal’s past. Two of the best museums are the Pointe-a-Calliere Museum and the Centre d’Histoire de Montreal. Both museums spotlight the transformation of Montreal into today’s world. Once you’re ready for a little fresh air, don’t miss the Old Port situated along the St. Lawrence River. This area is perfect for a riverside stroll during the warmer months and free ice skating during winter.
