“Best Choice in Town”

Nice private beach with chairs, loungers,a few umbrellas. Great pool. Family Friendly. Nice to have the option of ordering a drink by the pool. Great bbqs for guests to use. Nice terrace for the restaurant (pricey). Need to figure out a system so that guests can eat on the patio alfresco. Most nights the tables on the terrace were reserved for those ordering from the bar/restaurant. Our patio too small to eat on. Also, can't bring down your own wine for dinner on the terrace. We snuck ours in. Lacked the little details that would make me give it top marks. I.e. Nice wine glasses set out on the table but they were spotted and had to be cleaned before we could use them. Also, i phoned ahead to ask if they provided detergent for the washing machine, was told yes so I didn't pack some. I got there and of course they didn't have any. no free internet. Very comfortable room and nicely appointed kitchen. Cleanliness in hallways is an issue. They didn't clean the main stairwell for 3 days. People are traipsing in and out with their luggage etc., transporting food down to the barbeque and running to and from the pool/beach often in bare feet. It needs to be cleaned every day.

“"Anyone There?"”

Although our visit was brief, only over night, the accomodations were fine. The room was comfortable and luxurious. Location of the room....right above the underground garage. Not cool for a 1st visit. No view whatsoever. And no one in sight at check in! Very poor customer service. First time visit, left a first and last time impression. (unless the customer service is addressed)

“Great Family Hotel”

Great location on private beach.Perfect for families and couples. Only thing missing is no facilities for breakfast or continental breakfast offered. There are kitchenettes though so all is not lost.

“A Resort in Itself”

It's a resort in itself. 10-15 minute drive to the main streets of Osoyoos. Not walking distance. Beautiful sidewalk along street and lake that you can walk or jog for miles getting in your exercise. Resort has private beach with beautiful umbrellas to shade you from the scorching heat. Beautiful lake to swim in, rocks only at the beginning when you walk in, then it is soft sand. Outdoor pool is even better, you melt when you get it, it is heated to my liking (warm!); Didn't try the bar food - too "fancy" and expensive for us. Hotel room had kitchen, fully loaded, so we cooked our own meals or drove into town to eat. Was given a room facing the street, right above main entrance (very noisy!), don't know if that was because we booked through Expedia or not, hmm....one of our "credit card" pass keys did not work, kind of annoying. Underground secured parking had very small skinny spaces for cars to park in, but we managed. Bed was comfortable to sleep in. Room was very clean. Air conditioner worked heavenly. Robes for us to use too. Nice touches. Found the prices to be expensive for this place, but considering it's new and it was summer months time when we went, I guess I should expect that. We could only afford a "mountain view".... Would stay there again definitely, but I would never accept a room facing the front entrance! Terrible, terrible, terrible....Pick a side room facing the mountain, or go all out and pay for an oceanfront. Exquisite.

“We were planning to go back before we left”

the best hotel accomadations in the area. the pool and hot tubs are fabulous, as is the view. limited dining in the hotel, but we love to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare great meals. they have 7 huge gas bbqs on the patio by the pool for your use. one of the most peaceful beautiful places you can imagine.

“Nice and new but still working out the kinks”

This hotel/resort opened in April and is beautiful but still has a few kinks to work out. Since Osoyoos is a summer destination, and many of the employees migrate there for summer only, the staff didn't have all the answers I was looking for regarding locations, directions, even times of operation for their own tapas bar. With time, I'm sure they will work all that out. The staff was pleasant and meticulous about keeping things clean. Tip: If you are light sensitive when sleeping, get a room on the lake side of the building. The morning sunlight isn't completely shaded by the blinds and promptly woke me at sunrise on the mountain side.
