I booked through Expedia and booked a non-smoking room. When I arrived I was put into a room that smelled like cigarette smoke. I went to the front desk and was told there were no other rooms in the same category so I asked if there was another room that I could go into and they put me into another room that was non-smoking. The next morning, they tried to charge me for the upgraded room and I said that I had already paid for it on Expedia and should not be charged any extra costs given that they had given me the wrong room in the first place.
I had to go through several people working at this location to have the charges reversed.
In addition they have EV parking stalls at this location however they were being occupied by the worker’s vehicles (non EV) and I had to ask to have the car moved so I could charge my EV. This took quite a bit of time and given that I was a late arrival, I wasn’t able to settle into my room until well after 10 PM. The staff were friendly and responsive, but they didn’t seem to know how to do things and after a very long drive, I would have appreciated a smoother check in and billing experience.
