“Best in Penticton”
This hotel has the best location in town - right on the lake and great lakeside views. Lots of activity on the property with the casino and pub but my favorite is the restaurant on the lake. Great service and great food. The hotel is in desperate need of an update - you feel like you are in a 1970's time warp - but it still works and is more than comfortable to stay.
“Great Hotel with an Amazing View of the Okanagan Lake”
The hotel was very conveniently located to downtown Penticton and close to the events center. The accomodations were very comfortable, clean and we had a great view of the lake. The restaurant on-site had wonderful food and we were told there were no reservations available for dinner however we did go over and we were able to eat in the bar and the service was great so be sure and check it out even if you are told it's full. Unfortunately we did have two complaints. One was when we arrived, we were early for check-in, however we were told to come back in an hour and our room would be ready. We did return after an hour and our room was still not ready and we were told it would be another 2 hours however as we sat in the lobby waiting we saw many individuals checking in and getting their rooms ahead of us with no explaination given when we inquired at the front desk. The other thing to watch out for is if your room is located above the Barking Parrot Lounge you will definitely hear the noise from the bar late at night and we were on the 5th floor and this did keep us awake. I would suggest asking for a lake view room in the other section of the hotel away from the bar. The casino on-site is small and it was very busy while we were there so we had to wait to play a slot machine. All and All our stay was very nice and we would definitely stay there again.
“Treated really well, Great time in Penticton.”
We stayed a week, and our deal had a Lakeside room on the Top floor, free wifi and valet, and a 25.00 Voucher for all 7 Breakfasts. They have a really nice turn-down service, with fresh Peaches and warm cookies. We tried to eat at the Bufflneck restaurant, but the Snooty blonde woman gave us insane wait times, even though there were no tables in the restaurant! Overall, though, a great place to stay.
“Always a great place to stay!”
Great restaurants nearby. Easy walking distance to downtown, convention centre, theatre, arena and events centre. Beautiful location on Lake Okanagan. Visiting the many nearby wineries is also wonderful.
“would definately stay again :):)”
The hotel was great!!!!!! The pub was great, the food and service was awesome!!!!
“Exclusive resort”
Beautiful lakeside location if you get that side of the hotel. Nothing inexpensive, but all high quality. Good restaurants on site or short walk/drive to others in town. Would stay there again with special rate. Friendly, helpful front desk staff.
“Very happy with the hotel”
We chose this hotel because we wanted something central for our 3 day tour of the wineries in the area. The private beach was a great place to have our Tim Hortons in the morning. The pub was a great place to have a nice evening dinner after a long day tasting wine. The beds were very comfortable & the room was very clean. We appreciated the small fridge in the room & used it extensively. The desk staff was extremely helpful with check in & making reservations for us & very courteously provided us with wine glasses & a cork screw. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our mini vacation such a pleasure.
“By Far the best hotel in Pentiction!!!!”
Very nice hotel. With all the amenities. The hotel is right on the water. This is the only hotel I will stay in when I come back to Pentiction.
“would stay again”
hadn't been to Penticton is years and was so delighted with the hotel and the city. the wine tours are a must - the landscape spectacular. the hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the room was just fine. the only thing lacking was a great meal, the Merganser restaurant was very disappointing both in service and food. the barking parot food was decent pub food but was hoping for more - even the tapas restaurant was mediocre. but.. we would stay again as the location and overall stay was wonderful.
“I'd go back”
The hotel is the centerpiece of Penticton, right on the water, casino too. The restaurant serves good food with spectacular views of the lake. Service was good; staff easy to work with.
