Beautiful hotel with great views. Delicious buffets for both dinner and breakfast. The only issue I would say is that a lot of the on-site activities were closed.

Family friendly, I would go for longer stay
We stayed in Niji kan, the new and western style tower, close to parking, pools and restaurant. The bed was extra large and sofa turns to bed as well. Very clean and comfortable, TV was a good size as well. It would accommodate many people, like a family with children. In fact there were many young families at the resort.we stayed for 2 nights, but I wish we stayed longer to do everything that they offer. Buffet had a lot of options and was "good". since it served large quantity of guests, the restaurant was big and sometimes hard to find items I wanted. The staff there were very polite, quick and helpful, very good service anywhere you go.

Superb!
It was a very good stay we had. Free breakfast and dinner. The customer service exceeded my expectations! When we got to the hotel and got to the room, we didn’t like it coz it was outdated but when we asked if we can move to another room, no hesitations they gladly helped us and showed the room that was new and kid’s friendly room. We will definitely go back there in a few months. I highly recommend it to those who has kids with them it’s called Nin Ji Kan that’s their new building. Awesome! My regret is I wasn’t able to take a picture of the room. 😞 but I do give always an Honest review.

Fun family stay
Excellent family get away. We had no idea what to expect but once we arrived we were blown away by the friendly staff and efficient service provided. We had to park in a separate building then take the shuttle bus but it was easy as the buses ran frequently. The hotel was very clean, the room spacious and well stocked. They provided kimonos and slippers in various sizes for use around the hotel which was a huge bonus. The breakfast and dinner buffet exceeded anything we could hope for as there was a huge variety of tasty foods provided. The hotel had plenty of things to keep our 5 and 3 year olds entertained, their favorite being The Aqua Garden with several nicely sized warm outdoor pools.

It’s a very kid and family friendly hotel! Plenty of things to do in the hotel itself. The service was excellent, we have a one year old and the staff is very helpful and detail oriented! The only thing is make sure you know which building your room is in so that you could drop off your luggage before going up to park, it could avoid the hassle of trying to get your luggage onto the shuttle bus after parking as you’ll be taking their shuttle bus to your building!

A very crowded hotel. The staff tried their best to make you feel homey, despite they must be overwhelmed with the number of guests. The bathroom facilities is a bit old. The HANA side looks more modern and well kept. A lot of entertainment that you will not be bored. Yet, if you want peace, you can still get it.

Apart from the full around services and amenities, it has fantastic seaview, both the room and the hotspring. Excellent shuttle bus to connect JR station and different parts of the hotel. At night, there is special lightings at the open space and along the road opposite to the hotel. Room is so spacious and relaxing.

My son and I stayed for 3 nights to watch the rugby World Cup. We had paid for breakfast & dinner. We arrived Friday, too late for dinner, but were not offered anything. Saturday, the buses were late back from the rugby, again no dinner. Sunday, we managed dinner ... 30 minutes before they shut, so we had to eat up & leave. Considering we had paid £1100 for 3 nights, the hotel failed to accommodate us and the many people paying silly prices & missing meals they had paid for. Extremely disappointed considering the rip off prices. Having said this, the staff were excellent & very friendly. The hotel was very clean. I know the RWC was a one off, but there wasn’t any consideration for fans travelling miles to the grounds. They must have known people would miss out on dinner despite paying for it. This really spoilt our experience of Japan

Massive hotel. Stayed in the main building - great Spa, breakfast good. Stayed in Western / Japanese room which was a good size, but fading quality eg bedspreads and lack of sockets. Hard to control heating / Air con and a smell of smoke, Used Onsen in the other building, which is amazing. I wish we had stayed in the other building, because it took about 15 minutes of walking through the shop, the very noisy electronic games room, etc. But it was worth it. We also had dinner included - it’s kind of like a food court in a shopping mall. Kind of low quality and noisy - choice of food types (salad, pizza, Chinese, meat, cheese, etc) but not anything classy - great for kids. Restricted hours - 5-9pm only. Despite this being a massive hotel, there is only one small bar. We walked down the town - there is a shuttle bus, but we wanted to stretch our legs - the road has no pavement and felt a bit hairy till we met the road,

Total rip off. Appreciate during rugby World Cup but for £600 per night I expect much better. Room v old and tired, shower not working, bathroom smelled, mattress old. Had to ask for towels and water to be provided in room. No snacks in mini-bar etc had to use vending machines. Do not mind all of the above if it is a cheap hotel but this was a complete joke...

Exceptional hotel if you have children and lovely if just the two of you. Food of a high standard and onsen great. Hotel go out of their way to help ie loaned my husband walking stick as he forgot to bring his. Left our luggage at hotel for two days then went back to collect.

Staff very helpful. The hotel was huge so better signage would have helped. We like the outdoor onsen a great deal. Convenient location. Shuttle bus to and from the station was great. Overall the room and hotel were very dated. It must have looked amazing in the 1970s!

The staff were very good as is common in Japan and the view was spectacular. The hotel, however, was very disappointing. It is this vast complex that seems to have grown in an ad hoc way. Our room had a tatami mat area plonked in the middle with a tiny TV in one corner and a couple of cheap single beds and a very cheap bathroom nearby.

Onsen and pool were very good. Food variety was good and view from the Terrace eating area was great. Very large hotel, so some walking to get around but had free shuttle to/from train station, market and arcade on site along with the pool/onsen facilities. More expensive than some, but definitely worth it to us.

Nice large hotel with lovely pool on roof. Booked h&b and all five of us enjoyed all meals. The futtons need to be updated as might as well just sleep on floor. Stayed in inn in kyoto and futtons were relativley new and ten times better.
