“Chateau review”
Very nice setting. Excellent serivce staff. Toilet a bit small.
“un peu déçu”
déçu par la chambre car déco chinoise avec placard coulissant qui des qu on l ouvre cache la tv.Impossible d'écrire au bureau non plus car bureau dans le placard soit tv , soit bureau vraiment tres nul. Trop de mouches dans la chambre qui gênent la nuit. Petit déjeuner un peu décevant pour un 4 étoiles, pas de fraises ni framboises. J ai demandé du dentifrice à la reception, on m a dit qu il était dans le mini bar, 7euro facturé pour un échantillon de dentifrice. J ai refusé de payer. Jacuzzi hors service!!! Sinon cadre tres agréable.

Beautiful hotel only half an hour from De Gaul airport. Service good but a bit impersonal. Four star and expensive but good value. A great last night in France

“Beautiful Hotel in a nice setting!”
Driving in was a bit difficult, since some of the signs to the chateau were easy to miss. Would recommend you have detailed directions if driving. The Hotel is located on the heavily wooded main road between Chantilly and Gouvieux (D909). I stayed here for leisure while my wife had a large, global business meeting to attend on the premises. She thought it was excellent for business meetings. For leisure, the hotel was comfortable and the staff very helpful/friendly. The hotel restraurant and the bar, though expensive, was very good. Our quad room was quite large and comfortable. My two kids (11 and 15) had plenty to do. The pool was very nice (indoor) and the grounds spacious. We also spent a lot of time touring nearby and had many meals in Chantilly where there are ample restraurants and shops. The hotel is only about 20minutes to CDG airport and it is very easy to take a train into Paris. Due to its country setting, I would recommend you have a car for sight-seeing.
“très beau cadre pour passer le week - end”
Tres bel hôtel pour passer un week end de détente, le brunch du petit déjeuner est bien. Le dîner a été décevant, mais la carte des vins est très complète, formule vins originale mais un peu chère.
“think we were just unlucky... but food is wonderful!”
We had a weekend here (oct 05) unfortunately we were moved around into 3 rooms as they had problems with the electics. They did give us a free breakfast though and both my husband and I said the resturant which we ate in twice more than made up for moving around the hotel. The food was amazing. The hotel is very pretty and the rooms very clean.
“Un peu désuet mais globalement de bonne qualité.”
Un établissement qui a du charme et du cachet mais dont il faudrait revoir la décoration au niveau du bar et du restaurant. Ca commence à dater ! Un niveau de service très inégal. Du personnel jeune et qui a visiblement un souci de bien faire pour le petit déjeuner, des réceptionnistes accueillants et professionnels, un room service et du personnel d'étage de qualité pour les points positifs. D'un autre coté, des ?ufs au plat que j'attends toujours (après 3 demandes) de la part du cuisinier en salle lors d'un petit déjeuner et du personnel au bar manquant sérieusement de discrétion, de retenue dans son attitude, son comportement et ses propos et dont la notion de service client doit être une équation comportant de multiples inconnues. La grande désillusion fut la "junior suite" qui ressemblait plutôt à un cagibi, avec une vue imprenable sur la cime des arbres à travers le vasistas qui tenait lieu d'unique ouverture sur l'extérieur. Il serait bon de prévenir le client au moment de sa réservation.
“Très décevant”
Cadre magnifique, mais chambre très décevante. Pas très grande, vieillotte, salle de bain en très mauvais état, joint absent, carrelage en piteux état. Pour la deuxième nuit nous avons demandé à changer de chambre. Beaucoup mieux, à croire que la première était une chambre de secours. En plus piscine et étages en travaux, assez désagréable. Malgré tout personnel aimable.
“Nice Place, Good Food, But Needs Air Conditioning or Screens in the Summer”
Chateau de Montvillargene is a nice, quiet hotel in the Chantilly Forest. The food is excellent and the hotel is very attractive. The only downside was that in the heat of summertime, the hotel would be well-served to either install air conditioning or, at the very least, provide every room with a desk or floor fan or, better yet, a screen for room windows, so one wouldn't have to swelter in the rooms at night due to the summer heat and loads of mosquitos (forcing one to close the window - when it's so lovely and cool outside, that's criminal). Installing screens would solve this problem and make the hotel one of the nicest places I've stayed in a long time.
