Rooms are small but clean, free parking. Our evening meal and continental breakfast was good but expensive.

“Clean with a nice little restaurant”

We stayed at the Campanile in Compiegne as an overnight stop on the way south and it was ideal for this. The room was clean and comfortable though rather snug for a family of four. The restaurant was really quite nice with a substantially more up-market feel than the rooms. Dinner wasn't particularly cheap but it was surprisingly good and meant that, having spent 12 hours in the car, we didn't have to trawl around the town for somewhere else to eat. As an overnight stop just off the Autoroute I'd certainly recommend it.

“Good but could be better.”

The first thing that you see is hotel staff smoking outside which is not a very good impression. However, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the ensuite facilities were good. The staff in the restaurant were very good, the service impressive and the food was excellent. But it rained heavily during our one night stay and the gutters outside our room (15) were obviously blocked which meant that water poured down outside our room, the noise making it dificult to sleep. Surely this should have been easy to fix. In spite of this, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay because the food and service was so good.

A small friendly hotel offering comfortable clean rooms, Bathroom supplies hairdryer, soap shampoo and heater, Bed comfortable and far better than the UK premier inn we stayed in the previous night. Breakfast extra at 20 euros for two was adequate and very convinient. Reception area is in the restaurant which has a bar we found slightly expensive a wine and a pint of beer approximatly 12 euros. very convinient loaction we used the free local bus service with stop 2 mins walk from hotel to go into town, Ideal for visiting Parc Asterix or Armistice sight / war memorials all reasonably close.

Je trouve inadmissible que lorsqu'on arrive, on vous informe des heures de repas et que lorsque vous vous présentez à 19h30 (soit 30 min après l'ouverture), on vous signale que tout est complet. Il était nécessaire de nous demander si nous voulions réserver. Le matin, la salle de déjeuner est trop petite et le personnel ne suit pas pour regarnir les plats et les boissons.

“Pleasant Staff, Good Buffet Breakfast, but Noisy !!”

My wife & I, plus two children aged 7 & 10 used this hotel for a no-frills overnight rest stop. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. The Campanile style has cars parked right outside the door of your room, which can be disturbing with headlights and noise of late arrivals. We had the benefit of a first floor room on an entirely non-smoking coridoor. Floor level full size children's beds pulled out from under the two main single beds in the room. The mattresses were foam type and very comfortable. The linen and towels were clean but the floor needed a good vacuuming ! We had arrived around 9.30pm after a 7 hour journey from the Dordogne and I wanted to freshen up. However, there was only tepid water coming from the shower, I gave up and went to bed. The hotel backs onto a park and recreational area and this was unfortunately occupied by a bunch of young French guys who just wanted to shout and let off fireworks until the early hours. None of us slept well due to the noise outside. I guess we were unlucky that night. Come the morning, the water was good and hot for a shower. The buffet breakfast was fresh, had plenty of choice and was served in a pleasant, if a little tired, dining area. As we checked out and paid for breakfast, the assistant manager advised that the children's breakfasts were free of charge, a nice little surprise to end our stay.
