We're put in a smaller room than booked. When complained they changed the room without argument but I stayed behind while the other 3 travelers were out for the day.. When I asked for a refund upon checkout they offered only a $50.00 discount for a room with 4 of us with no sea view when we had booked a 2 room unit with a private terrace and a sea view. Finally negotiated it to an $300 from $480.00 because I had no more time to argue.
The male employees were super, especially Houssain and Alex. Maria at the front desk is very dismissive and hard to deal with

Superb hotel on the calderas in Oia. Rooms are built into the hillside in the caves from the volcano. We stayed in the Daphne suite. It was a nice location far from the main shopping location. We had a private patio and jacuzzi. Other than shopping and getting food, there is no reason to leave the hotel. Views are to die for and there is no better location.
The hotel location was beautiful, with our own private patio and plunge pool. The staff was very helpful with spa arrangements in our room and dinner reservations. If we had any issues, they took care of them immediately. We had a very wonderful experience!

It is the newest hotel in Oia, Santorini. It opened in May 2014. The staff is amazing. Very friendly and responsive. The cleaning staff even folded our clothes that we left on the chairs. The free breakfast is great too...gained 7 pounds in 10 days. You will not be dissapointed with your stay in this hotel.
At end of Oia where everyone goes for sunset -- enjoy it from your own private balcony or from the excellent restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful with top rate suggestions for what to do, where to eat and made all arrangements. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Arranged transfer from port and carried luggage up and down all the steps! Location and staff really make this place special. Room was beautiful with jacuzzi. Did have ants due to high winds but issue was addressed right away. Very recently painted too - only reasons for the 1 4. Provided complimentary wine and beach towels. Great place! Look forward to returning some day!
Lindsay and her staff went above and beyond to accomodate us and to assure we had a comfortable stay. EVERYONE on her staff was helpful and kind. Ivan the bell man carried many of our heavy bags up and down stairs more than once. Katrina is a very helpful concierge . I had dropped my iphone in water and Lindsay arranged to have someone come fix it. I was beyond happy. They even helped us check in for our flights online and helped us arrange transportation. The view is absolutely stunning! Incredible view. Expedia had overbooked our room for one night, so Lindsay upgradec us. We were thrilled. We highly recommended La Perla for your stay. You wont be disappointed.

We asked and pre-paid for a junior sweet and have to say that Expedia does NOT define the "difference" between this and a normal villa. THIS MUST BE FIXED BY EXPEDIA FOR THIS AND ALL HOLIDAYS AS WE'VE SEEN THIS TIME AND TIME AGAIN. IF NOT FIXED WE SHALL HAVE TO USE OTHER SOURCES.
On that basis and probably because Nikos had not arranged for the correct "suite" to be available, we were placed in Room 10 which certainly was NOT what we expected.
Room 10 being a fair way down and away from the main area and without WiFi which was an absolute requirement for me as I was having to work whilst my wife go the full time joy of the place.
Once I have made it absolutely clear that this MUST happen as per my payment to them via Expedia then we got "upgraded" (can't tell what is normal or an upgrade via the Villas descriptions on Expedia) to Room 30 overlooking the swimming pool. Much better and with good WiFi but this didn't happen until 2 days into our week holiday.
I'm happy to have had this resolved and we did very much enjoy the facilities and area and Nikos and his staff were VERY attentive indeed.
I do understand that running such a business has been and must still be difficult and they probably are being hit VERY hard by government taxes in such a location, so, every penny for them counts. BUT, this was quite an expensive week and we could have got so much more in say Mexico. Makes you think !!
With white cubic buildings and blue-domed churches carved into the rocks on a cliff top above the caldera, tiny Oia is Greece’s most photographed village. Its also Santorini’s most upmarket destination, with sophisticated boutique hotels, top-notch eateries and chic cocktail bars. Buses bring tourists from all over the island just to see Oia’s renowned sunsets. Thira is 12 kilometres away, or an unforgettable three-hour walk along the cliffs.
