We loved our stay at the York Harbor Inn! Charming New England inn. Not a lot of frills but very nice. Great complimentary breakfast! Would definitely go back!

Staff was awesome! Breakfast was good. The room wasn’t as pictured for size, cleanliness or ambience. Facility needs upgrading. Needs new carpeting, new paint, exhaust fan in bathroom was very loud. Lights flickered. Couldn’t regulate the temperature in the room. The $300 room was actually only worth $150 compared to other places we’ve stayed with same amenities.

No heat in our room so taking a shower was bad news until mgmnt gave us a space heater to plug in. After 5 nights, mgr said will get heater fixed after move out. Were there 7 nights living with a space heater pointed at bathroom and our beds. Breakfast was minimal with eggs, potatoes, coffee, jc. No meat til last morning.

Having never been to Maine, we were so impressed with everything. We had a fabulous meal in the Ships restaurant and bar. My husband said it was his favorite dinner on our fall foliage trip.

This is a typical New England inn. Very quaint with a lot of character. It’s in a great location, right across the street from the park and beach. Our room was small, but comfortable. However, I have to say I’ve never seen such a tiny bathroom. It was difficult to shower - the stall was sooo small! And the sink was just a tiny little triangle!

Awesome breakfast
The best breakfast ever!!!! Very friendly staff! The temperature control in the room was quirky. Please trade out the bed frame to recess the corner legs. Extreme hazard to toes. Great view of the harbor.

Room furniture in poor conditions. Depressing.
Most of the furniture in our room are in poor conditions. Some have veneers in the process of peeling off. Obviously there is a lack of care and maintenance. A bit depressing, really.

The York Harbor Inn is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway. It's located across the street from the beach and is a short drive to restaurants. There only thing that needs to be updated is the wall AC in the room as it made a beeping nose all night

Disappointed with stay
Would not recommend. Our room was tiny with stained rugs and only 1 tiny window. Felt very claustrophobic. This hotel definitely needs a lot of updating.

The staff was excellent and courteous but the room was not livable! The carpet is old, the bathroom so small and uncomfortable, the shower curtain smelled and too big. The room was small . However the bed was good and comfortable. The housekeeping did good job but the room needs renovation.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. Very kind when we left early in the morning to have coffee and breakfast items to go. One room had a very low part of the ceiling, that was located on one side of the bed. Very easy to hit your head on if you are not very careful and always aware of that area.

Although I admittedly booked the least expensive room, I felt very cramped and hit my head on the eaves. One of the USB ports provided for charging my phone did not work and I had to use the charger on the other side of the bed - hence hitting my head on the eaves. Also, I usually wipe down the phone/remotes everywhere I stay. It was obvious the remote and especially the phone had not been wiped down for quite some time. The shower stall had hair on the walls and mold on the faucet handle. The provided shampoo/soap dispenser was very difficult to squeeze, which is a problem for anyone, let alone someone with arthritis. The front desk staff were very nice, however I had to come back down to get instructions on how to access the spotty Wifi.

Everything was amazing! The breakfast every morning was great. The room was a little smaller than expected. As 2 tall people, we kept bonking our elbows and heads on the slanted ceiling and furniture. But still worth it for the great location and cozy stay!

York's Secret Gem
I can't say enough about YHI. The room was spacious, light, clean and comfortable. The staff was so accomodating and very friendly. The Inn is located right across from a nice park with a great view of the ocean and within walking distance of a small beach. The dining options as well were superb and highly recommended. I intend on making YHI and Maine a trip to take every year!

It is on a beautiful stretch of York Harbor. The rooms are all unique, older but well kept. It was lovely.
