This hotel offers 94 guestrooms and suites in two-story buildings without elevators and a three-story building with an elevator. All buildings are situated along the hotel's beach, with furnished balconies and ground-floor terraces providing close-up views of the Caribbean Sea. Televisions offer U.S. cable channels. The spacious and well-appointed beachfront rooms are furnished in soft tropical hues with colorful accents. In-room safes are available for a daily surcharge of US$2.00 (subject to change).

Flowering gardens and a deck with padded lounge chairs surround the 23m (75-ft) oval pool. From the hotel's 457m (500-yd) private beach, four narrow piers jut into Cutlass Bay, which remains calm in most weather. Lounge chairs line portions of the beach between piers, and tropical almond trees provide shade.
The hotel provides kayaks, snorkeling gear, Sunfish sailboats and lessons, and an introductory scuba-diving lesson in the pool. Surcharges apply for Jet Skiing, parasailing, fishing, scuba-diving instruction (beyond introductory lesson in pool), scuba-diving and snorkeling excursions, fishing trips, and tubing and rafting on the White River, whose mouth borders the hotel's east end. An on-site water-sports center arranges all aquatic activities.
Land recreation includes shuffleboard, Ping-Pong, a playground, and beach volleyball.

“Can't wait to go back”
What an amazing place! The service was so awesome, the staff made this place excellent. Great beach, nobody there to hassle you. I would definately recommend this place, they treated us like royalty!
“"I'LL BE BACK "”
My wife and I had a wonderful time at the SHAW PARK BEACH HOTEL. The great caring and efficient staffs made our stay a really memorable one. This hotel will be my first in my future travel. I have mentioned and in the future will let my friends and family know that this hotel is a place that they can rely on for comfort, care and relaxation. Before closing, I would like to point out one little sour spot that need cleaning up. We were there for ten (10) days. There was this person, who we were told is one of the managers. He needs to be more customer friendly. He passed us on numerous occassion, and not once for the ten days had he say hello.
“Should have stayed longer”
The hotel has tons of charisma. It's older, but in good shape and they really keep it clean. The best part is being right on the sea. The beach is bigger than other more expensive hotels in the area. And it was nice to stroll down the beach to watch the White River flow into the ocean. The food was fantastic. The excursion boats bring small groups to snorkel on a reef that is very close to the hotel. We swam out to the reef, but I would suggest you take the kayak. We were glad that we brought our own snorkel equipment. It's not really the best place to go if you want a swinging night life, but it's a great place to relax. We wish we would have stayed longer.

Hotel staff was excellent. They were friendly and made me feel as if I was their friend. There is a tour guide representative that is at the hotel to assist with arrangements for sightseeing tours if not previously arranged. The food was excellent. Am looking forward to going back soon.
“A very nice time”
We stayed at shaw park from feb 27-march 6 2010. this was our second time to shaw park as we stayed there in 1998. If all your looking for is a quiet relaxing vacation then this is the place. The staff is very courteous and were always greeting you asking if there was anything they could do for you. The owner of the hotel was there daily and was very polite and courteous. there was light maintance going on while were there and the beaches were cleaned and raked every morning by 600 am. The food was great 3 full meals a day and afternoon tea time was available too. the meals were buffet and there was a variety everyday,chicken steaks, hamburgers ham lamb you name it. This hotel could use some entertainment as we had singing groups 4 nights but if your looking for a quiet relaxing low key vacation this is the place for you. if your looking for 6 star resort with lots of entertainment this is not for you. i would highly recommend this resort for rest and relaxation sitting on the beach and spending time with the one the one you love we had a great time. the only downside is they are very slow at the bar. takes a while to get your drink. if you visit this resort definately say hi to marvin he works the meals and will go out of his way to accomodate you
“**Can't Wait To GO Back**”
we went to celebrate my sister's graduation and it was nothing but perfect. jamaica is a wonderful place and Shaw park was the best place to go!!! the staff members are wonderful our room was huge and beautiful, we had the best view of the beach!! we can't wait to go back!!! the food was delicious so much better than ny food, the drinks were great the bartenders were a delight and so were the waiters and waitresses!!! we were in walking distance of the local store/gas station.. the pool was right outside our door....just wonderful!!!!
“Great experience”
Shaw Park was great! The food was truly good; I was not expecting much because of previous all inclusive experiences, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The private beach was very nice...it's great to be protected from haggling sales people. It was quiet and clean and just what I was looking for. Only one glitch - one night there was no air conditioning or hot water. Luckily it was cool enough and quiet enough with the balcony window open...

We had to leave for an entire day. When we returned Audrey had ensured that dinner was kept for us although we came back after dinner time.
“We shall return again”
If seclusion, great food, excellent and friendly staff, clean rooms and plenty of beautiful surroundings is what you crave. This is the place to go. Never have we had a more romantic vacation. Plenty of hot water which is not the case at some resorts. No peddlers of any kind. Disco and spa were great also, as well as the water sports. But I must say this also. If you're leaving the airport. It's about a 2 and half hour drive because they stop at many resorts to drop off other guest. Otherwise go for it. It's a great resort.
“Great price, relaxing, would definitely go back”
Shaw Park has a wonderful private beach. There were only about 40 people at the hotel when we went, so it was very relaxing. The food was average, but there were many options: at least 3 meats, a fish, and several vegetarian options. Because the hotel was not crowded, the bar service was fast. My biggest complaint is that the management is stingy and sometimes rude. However, the lower level employees were all very friendly and helpful. There are not many activities at the hotel (there is 1 kayak, a sailboat, ping pong table, and a gym), but the beach was so nice that we were occupied for 4 days. Ocho Rios is a nice, small city. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
