“Great Experience”
I stayed at this resort from 3/10/07-3/17/07. Aside from a mix up on my room, my stay couldn't have been better. The staff is all extremely nice and are helpful with any questions. They all speak English so it is easy communicate. The food and drinks are all very good. I recommend this hotel for just about anyone. Its not a big spring break place, so it isn't a party atmosphere which is nice.
“Very nice Hotel”
The people were very nice. Staff was very helpful. I liked the hotel very much. Food was very good. Their beach was always choppy and had lots of rocks only bad thing. Would def recommend it to other people.
“Great Hotel for the Money!”
This hotel was really great with a few mishaps. They were booked up when we got there and had to be driven all the way back to Montego Bay, on hour and a half. We ended up coming back two days later and had a great time there. It's quieter than the big hotels, not as many children. The huts are very nice except the air-conditioning needs to be upgraded. It did not cool very well. The bathrooms are not air-conditioned so that was kind of uncomfortable. However everything else was first rate. The people were great, the food was great, the beaches were great.
“Would Go Again”
This was the first trip that my husnband and I have taken without our children. We were glad that we did. We were supposed to stay in one of their cottages but the first night it wasn't ready. The next morning they had it ready and moved our bags while we were having breakfast. If you're looking for the fancy 5 star hotel this is not it, but the drinks were great, a little strong, and the staff was friendly. It was the most relaxing environment. I sunbathed on the beach while my husband snorkled off one of their activities boats. The buffet style restaurant was good, the other two restaurants were better. Overall, we were very content with our hotel, staff, and would go back to this resort.
“Would definitely go back.”
Upon arrival at the Royal Decameron in Runaway Bay my newlywed wife and I were treated with the greatest customer service. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating, acting with greatest attitudes and personalities. The atmosphere at this resort is laid back and there is much freedom to appreciate the grounds and relax in most ways that anyone would wish to. The resort requests that people don't sunbathe topless, but some guests may take more freedom at certain areas. The effect isn't shocking since many guests are from the UK and such practices are not socially 'off'. The food for the most part was par, sometimes good and sometimes just fair. The buffet style dinners boasted a fair array of choices, but after a week, one could get a little bored. The restaurants on site served better cuisine, but the rigid timelines and serving schedule may interfere with ones desire to just 'go with the flow'. We opted to stay away from all of the outside activities available, allowing us to take full advantage of our 'all inclusive' price. The effect was a wonderful blend of relaxation and fun, not worried about keeping a lot of cash on hand or a schedule to follow. The resort may be older and the rooms similar to a '$69.99 a night' hotel in the states, but when one keeps in mind the state of the country outside the gates, one can't complain about a lack of water pressure in the shower. Overall, the people made this resort a fantastic place to stay and we would go back for them.
“Amazing Jamaican Resort”
I had an amazing time during my first visit to a Jamaica resort. The decor was very inviting and the the unique room settings made for a very relaxing and fun feel. The food was terrific and though the first two days were overcast, we were able to take advantage of the amazing water activities. If given the opportunity, I wouldn't think twice about staying at this resort again.
“We will be back, such a great time!!!”
The hotel was amazing, this was our first time to Jamaica and we will defininetly go back and go back to this resort. The beaches were extremely clean and well groomed. All the employees were very happy and courtouious, they were more than helpful to help us out and make sure that we were having a great time and were comfortable, there was "No Problem Mon". Bartenders were fun, one in particular by the name of "Supersticky" was a great time. The food was delicious, lots of seafood, chicken, pork and beef. All of it was of good quality. The fruit was fresh and so were the veggies. The grounds of the resort were in great condition and well groomed and maintained. There were almond trees, mango trees, banana trees and of course coconut trees. It was really impressive, to add to that they also had peacocks that were wondering around freely, two males and three females. We got pictures of them. The pools were nice, there was the main one that was near the buffet and the main bar, that was where they had their pool games during the day and would have entertainment and live music near it. There is also a smaller, quiet, adults only pool. So if you just want to relax with a rum under the sun and not be bothered that would be the pool for you. The other is the fun pool. The tours were fun, if you want to go to Dunn's river falls take the one that you get where you get your towels, not the front desk. Better deal. Snorkleing and Glass bottom boat rides were relly fun. We'll be back!
“Royal Decameron is AWESOME!!!”
My wife and I went to Royal Decameron for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. For an all inclusive it was not expensive and the quality of the food and service was great. The staff really encourages people to get involved in the activites and if you do it will be all the better. We danced, sang, went snorkeling and ate until we could not eat any more. Loved it, Loved it, Loved it..........
“Great place with great people!”
My girlfriend and I were very pleased with the daily and nightly activities, great food, beverages, and the atmosphere. The shows at night always drew a big crowd, but they have the room for it. The staff was very quick at remembering your names, which I was suprised with all the people that were there.
“This family can't wait to go back.”
I booked this resort for three of my friends in july-08. They said the place was strikingly beautiful.Lots of things for family to do together----But---nothing for single women to do that is looking for a good time at night. They felt that there should be more night time entertainment there on the property.
