We had a wonderful time at Bahia Principle Luxury side. The staff was wonderful - so friendly and helpful. The grounds are immaculately kept. Our room was airy and comfortable. We enjoyed having a balcony to sit on, that overlooked the pool and ocean. The beach was really nice and we never had a hard time getting loungers.
I read reviews that said the resort is loud. Our room was right over the pool where they held the fun pool games. There is truth that if you want to go back to a silent room for a nap, that might be difficult (but we threw in earplugs and had no problems). But the resort is huge, so you could probably request a room in a quieter location.
The food was hit or miss. There are plenty of options on the buffets, but they are the same every day - breakfast and lunch, so it's good to make reservations at the a la carte restaurants. We really liked Rodizio, Picasso, and Don Pablo. Skip the Mikado. Don't miss the Jerk Center that is on the family side. Sooo good. At other all-inclusive resorts we've attended they limit the number of restaurants you can make reservations for, but you can do one for every night you are at this resort - that was a huge perk!
The entertainment staff is GREAT! They are friendly and fun. We did sunset yoga and the bike tour and both were worthwhile. We appreciated that there were multiple places and offerings to enjoy music, shows, and even a sports center so you always had things to do in the evenings.
We will definitely go back!
