“my vacation”
The staff was amazing. friendly and welcoming..not to mevntion my room had such an amazing
“Paradise”
Not only was this hotel located in the most picturesque location but the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel was luxurious and very clean. They were located about pretty close to many different activities which we took full advantage of. We travelled with 2 children ( 11 & 4 ) and the resort was very kid friendly with lots to do. There were many children of all ages. The food was excellent and there were many choices....
“Amazing....”
Amazing experience this is my second time visiting this locations and will definetly not be my last. I would highly recommend it to anybody you will have an amazing time. Best restaurant in most definetly Don Pablo and if possible reserve the romantic dinner will worth it.
“Superb hotel will definitely go back”
The hotel service was superb from start to finish,it was awesome.Staff were superb, professional and friendly.Food was excellent and we were spoilt for choice. We also used the Spa which was excellent I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and cannot really understand some of the negative comments on here! Drinks are definitely not watered down,as I had to get a second mixer every time to add to the rum! Can't wait to go back!
“Most lively vacation ever”
Right from the get go, Jamaica was amazing. Gran Bahia just took the experience to a whole new level. The rooms were very clean and spacious. What I liked most about the suites was their stone floors. I personally feel that hard floors are always cleaner. The private balcony overlooking the beach was awesome. The private beach itself was very well maintained. So was the pool. Not a speck of sand in the pool. I don't know how they achieve that given that people return from the beach and just jump into the pool. There are bars all over the place and you can order from a large list of drinks they offer. The bar staff was always very lively...I think it's more of a Jamaica thing. People are very contended, and hence, happy. This attitude just rubs on to you. Coming over to food, you have many options. The buffet always had 100s of dish
“Good eatng, drinking & snorkeling”
Great place, Golden Club was worth extra bux because of included room safe & internet use. Only 2 computers so you did have to wait sometime -- I think GC room attendents should have a waiting list & enforce 1/2 hour on computer.Evening entertainment was so-so. Snorkeling was great near wedding gazebo. Food very good @ buffeet & a-la-cartes. Swimming beach ,kayaks, hobie cats & windsurf rigs all were good..
“One of my favorites”
I really enjoy staying at the Bahia. The rooms are wonderfully large and comfortable and the food in the main restaurant is very good. The food in the speciality restaurants is a bit ordinary and maybe even disappointing in comparison however and I was disappointed in the service both times I tried them. However the main restaurant and the beach restaurant are both very nice. Be prepared to do a lot of walking at this hotel because the rooms are a bit spread out and it can be quite a hike to find a free lounge chair on the beach or pool but its a really nice location. Staff are quite friendly overall. My favourite location is the lobby verandah where you can get drinks and snacks and overlook the pool.
“Had wonderful time”
Hotel is beautiful. Most staff very friendly and helpful especially if you tip. Food in restaurants (especially Japanese) was very good, buffet also good. Not the best beach in the world but water is blue and beautiful. Rooms very nice and bed was comfortable. Always something to do if you like to stay busy. Make sure to bring bug spray, mosquitoes nearly bled me dry!
“Can't wait to go back”
This place was just perfect. My family of 5 had no complaints other than the food and service at the The grill and the japanese restaurant could be greatly improved. The buffet was excellent with a hugh selection everyday. Although the beach isn't fine white sand it was beautiful. We had no problem finding chairs on the beach or by the pool.
“Exceeded expectations”
Very nice, well-maintained and clean hotel (still quite new), spacious and well-maintained room, very good buffet for the majority of our meals, good to very good experience with specialty restaurants (especially the Japanese one), snorkeling right off the beach - all combined to make this a very enjoyable and relaxing vacation for us. The only minor complaints were 1)its not so convenient to go into Ocho Rios - there's a tour bus that goes each day around 10:00am and 2:00pm and drops you off for 2 hours and the returns to the hotel - $18/person RT - a bit more flexibility would be nice, and 2) the elevators could be a bit frustrating at times, but it wasn't a big deal. Overall, we were more than satisfied - I'd recommend it to any of my friends!
