“Welcoming Smiles”

We had a wonderful time on our vacation to beautiful Ocho Rios, Jamaica! The staff at the Couples Hotel are so genuine when it comes to hospitality and making sure you have everything you need or want! The atmosphere is relaxed, but yet nothing goes "undone". Always smiling, the staff ask if you need anything. The maid service was impeccable. The food was delicious. The view from our balcony was so unspoiled, we felt we were the only two people in the world! Great entertainment! Thank You Couples Ocho Rios!! We will be back!

“Amazing! Can't wait to go again!!”

We tried the Couples Secret Rendezvous and were very happy with the results. All of the Couples Resorts are top notch. We got Couples Swept Away and it far exceeded our expectations. We have traveled to many all inclusive resorts but none matched the service, food quality and comfort of Couples. We can't wait to go again. I would highly recommend the Secret Rendezvous option to anyone looking to save a little money and have a fantastic vacation.

“It's no secret that Couples does all-inclusive right”

My wife and I enjoyed this trip immensely. We ended up at Ochos Rios and loved the resort. The falls were great. It was the first time on a horse for my wife. The bus trip is long but the driver stopoped just in time as the Red Stripe express needed an empty and refill. :) Hotel is older and you can feel it but the setting is perfect. Scuba shop divers were competent. All staff friendly. I would go back in a moment. Loved it!!!

“Were I got married”

If your planning on getting married on an island Jamaica is the place to go. There are wedding coordinators that tell you in advance the necessary paperwork that is needed. Once you get there everything is taken care of. Every single night a bottle of champagne was delivered to our room.

“Let's get together and Feel Alright”

We ended up staying in Couples Negril as selected as this was selected by chance. My girlfriend and I are in are late 20's and had an amazing time. We were not sure of the age range but it was very broad. The staff was overly responsive to our needs. The food was excellent as were the drinks. I would recommend the dirty bannana and any of the specialities. The hotel will do shots. The only things that really were lacking were the nightlife if you were a partier and the maid service was spotty. They do let you party until all hours even if you are the only ones left in the disco at 4am they will keep going.

“Excellent resort, we will be back!”

Our stay was at Ocho Rios. When we arrived in the dark after the long ride from Montego, we were immediately greeted with smiles, cold towels, drinks...I mean they were all over you, to make sure you forget the ride in and begin your vacation. The hotel grounds, facilities, and private beaches were beautiful and impeccably maintained. The service was top notch. The food at the Patio was excellent, although Le Gourmet and Bayside were average. Average food is to be expected in the Carribean, but they make up for it in service. Everything was "No problem" and always said with a smile. All of the people in Jamaica were very friendly. The Jamaicans understand what excellent service is all about. They WANT you to come back. All of the people we encountered worked very hard to give a great experience. The U.S. could take a few lessons about service from the Jamaicans. The cab and shuttle drivers, horseride guides, dunns river guides, all of them were extremely friendly with lots of stories, jokes, and interesting facts about their countries language, food, and culture. You get all the usual watersports with lessons. We learned to sail and did the snorkelling trip. The off site excursions you get for this price in an all inclusive cannot be beat. Catamaran cruise, Dunns River, Horsebackriding, Diving! These are always extra at other resorts. You will not be sorry visiting Jamaica or staying at Couples Ocho Rios. We will return!

“Private space”

No crowds, no kids, wonderful, romantic week. If you didn't get what you wanted, it was because your didn't ask.

“San Souci ... Jamaican Paradise”

Couples San Souci is all and MORE than advertised. The resort is on the ocean, yet cut out of the rocky Jamaican coastline and offers lush tropical vegetation everywhere you walk that muffles all sound from the outside world where you only hear the waves as they break on the beach or the sound of people having a magnificent time. Make no question about it, it's a " couples resort". Small and intimate, not a factory like some of the larger resorts. You get to know the people that work there and the Jamaican people are the most friendly and accommodating people in the world. The suites all face the ocean. Well appointed and very clean. The restaurants are not to be believed !! Outstanding food and service at every meal. The Starlight Gala party is fabulous on the main lawn under the stars. All types of watersport activities are available and FUN !! The Spa is a relaxing and enjoyable diversion from the sun. But ... as beautiful as this tropical resort is, it's the people that work there that make it a place you can't wait to return to. They make you feel like they have all known you all your life and they can not go out of their way enough to assist you with reservations for dining, off resort tours, shipping excursions, golfing, etc. Without any reservations we would recommend it to a couple that just wants to get away, be with each other and relax in this pristine piece of paradise in Jamaica. Without question, we will return ASAP.

“SECRET RENDEZVOUS”

SECRET RENDEZVOUS IS A GREAT WAY TO SAVE $$'S AND STILL STAY AT A 5 STAR HOTEL. WHEN YOU BOOK, YOU DONT KNOW UNTIL 7 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR TRIP WHICH COUPLES RESORT YOU WILL BE AT. THEY ARE ALL TOP NOTCH. WE ENDED UP AT OCHO RIOS, NOT MY FIRST CHOICE BUT SO GLAD WE GOT TO EXPERIENCE THE OLD CHARM OF THIS HOTEL.(CLOSING FROM APRIL TO DECEMBER TO REFURBISH). WE ARE A REPEAT GUEST OF COUPLES,COUPLES SWEPT AWAY, AND WILL GO BACK TIME AND TIME AGAIN.

“Couples in Jamaica”

Check in was smooth, and took just a few minutes. Our room was delightful and the balcony with the hammock was a nice feature. The restuarants were all good but we had most our meals at The Palms. Dinner reservations must be made a day in advance so keep that in mind when making plans. Glass bottom boat and snorkling were both good and need to sign up a day in advance. Snorkling goes out several times a day to different locations as well as the glass bottom boat. Scuba diving was offered daily for those having C-cards and a resort course was offered to those who wanted to experience scuba. The only problem I have with the resort class is you must pass a swim test which must be forward crawl only. 8 laps in a pool. The problem is few can pass this test. PADI does not require a forward crawl only but the resort requires forward crawl only. So if your are a good strong swimmer you probably can experience scuba. The catamaran was a fun trip with a slide going into the ocean. We didn't try the hobbie cats, paddle boats, or kayaks. In the event of rain during your stay check your closet the resort provides umbrellas. If you are staying in rooms away from the ocean take ear plugs. The road traffic is pretty loud and continious. The shopping trip into town was good at the first stop though the second stop could have been avoided. The piano bar was excellent and a fun night of name that turn and singing. The steel drums were entertaining. The house band was relaxing and enjoyable.
