An older style property ,but don't let that fool you. A beautiful kept room, warm n comfortable bed. Everything we needed to relax. Wonderful staff, friendly n great places to visit so close by. Highly recommend n we will certainly be back n recommending to all our family n friends.

Stayed at start of year and really good. This time it seemed to slip. Room not serviced on the second day. TV didn't work. Luckily had a tablet and stuff to do.

This was an excellent stay for us. The owner was super friendly, the room(#9) was a large area with a second bedroom, wifi worked well, the towels were good quality, and parking right outside the door. All the attributes we judge a hotel by were fantastic.

Very good value for the price.Decor dated and sofas and chairs need a spruce up but everything else was very clean. The studio had everything you needed when self catering including a full oven and microwave. Walk in shower great for oldies.Two New Worlds and a Countdown within a short drive. Also KFC, Subway and Thai and Chinese takeaways.Sky TV. Excellent location. Short drive to to all Oamaru's features- blue penguin sanctuary, Victorian district, steam pink headquarters, breweries, cafes, restaurants and tourist type shops.Not to mention the iconic Oamaru Rainbow lolly factory and shop.Cheap as seconds! Recommend a meal at the iconic Criterion hotel in the Victorian district. Try Scott's black doris plum cider which is a speciality in this establishment. Great pizzas at Scotts brewery. Only 15km to Riverstone complex on main road to Timaru.Fantastic restaurant, gardens, castle and gift shops. Well worth a visit. The motel is positoned on the main highway with some road noise but double glazing meant this was not intrusive. Choose an upstairs room for nice views over to the hill and character houses and church buildings. Would stay here again.

This is an old motel, its facilities are 80s. There are lots of things I don't like but I just name a few: the WiFi network is not working, only 6MB download speed and often on and off during my stay. The mattres is probably 30 years old and is too soft, we didn't have a good night sleep. Anyway, it's a bad choice for me to select this motel in Oamaru.
