“Customer Service not good”

“Webpage is very deceiving, not as nice as portrayed”

The webpage was well done in that it made the Sand Villa seem bigger, better, and nicer than it actually was. The breakfast is very, very cheap! You get up to four pieces of toast with a tiny croissant on top and a very small cup of canned pineapples. Juice and coffee/tea also provided. Yes, it was a continental breakfast, but I have never seen a continental breakfast this cheap in variety; I used to work hotel and we had muffins, fruit, danishes to go along with toast. I was very underwhelmed and felt unappreciated as a customer. The hotel is very old and needs some severe upgrading to be modernized with today's hotels. I don't recommend this hotel for Waikiki, spend more money to get a nicer hotel folks.

Price/Location of this location is great. But, one the 5th day of staying we've found cockroach! So huge. If you scary about cockroach, then try to choose other hotels like Hilton. But if you need price/quality/location then go to this hotel

“Use different hotel for same price (Cockroach)”

This was my fouth time visit in Hawaii and I have stayed in different hotels in Waikiki area with same price range. So far, this was worst hotel I stayed. I found two cockroach (one small, one size of thumb) soon as checked in at the room and asked to change to a different room. However, I was told that their rooms are full and asked to wait until next day. Also, I was told that they will leave a note to morning front desk, which never relayed. They did sent maintenace personell that night, whom killed one of the cockroachs by stepping on it and left that there (also, they sprayed only section of the room where cockroach had been seen). Next morning, I went to front desk to change a room again. Front desk person hesitated to change the rooom at first and told me to check my back at 11AM and re-check in at 3 PM. If you are traveling, it hard to come back to a hotel during mid-day becuase you will be doing outdoor activities and I do not think they unerstood this.

“Quiet but convenient”

Room balcony had a nice view of Ala Wai canal, located in quiet area, but convenient to get in and out by car. WIFI worked fine throughout hotel area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bar/restaurant on ground floor which served reasonable food until 3 am - convenient for late night diners.

“Not bad for price.”

Not bad for price. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Not to far from beach. No ocean view, but nice view of mountains. Bed was hard. It was very noisy outside and hard to sleep. Old hotel needs some upgrads.
