“Fabulous hotel, fabulous location”
Great location, close to the beach. Friendly, relaxed and helpful staff. Free internet use, no hidden charges.
“Good experience”
Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Location was great. Room was clean and comfortable.
“Friendly, clean and close to the beach.”
The location is literally 100 paces from the beach!! The staff were always friendly and accommodating. ABC stores are aplenty. If you look you will find tiny restaurants that are affordable for any budget and once out of Waikiki area most things are decently priced. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Aloha!!
“Very happy with our stay.”
I did lots of research on Expedia before picking a hotel for our first trip to Hawaii. This hotel seemed to have the best balance of value, location, and positive reviews of any in our price range. Our stay was even better than we expected. We were there for our first anniversary and I had contacted the hotel GM prior to arrival. He was nice enough to upgrade us to an available room with an amazing view and even had a bottle of wine on ice for us at the time of our arrival. Thank you Mr. Vergara! We loved the balcony and used it every day to sit and relax and enjoy the warm evenings. The beds and pillows were probably the most comfortable of any hotel that my wife and I can remember. We really did sleep well. The location is great. There is so much to do in such a close proximity even if the beach (which is 1 block away) isn't tops on your list. We would definitely go back in a minute.
“Would stay again”
Friendly and helpful staff from the front desk associates to housekeeping. Short walk to the beach was great!
“Friendly and convenient”
The hotel was great and the staff was helpful and friendly. The location is also very conveniently located especially for the beach, shopping, and food. I stayed on the 5th floor so there was a little street noise but I'm sure they would have changed rooms if I wanted. They was a small fridge but no microwave. The beds were extremely comfortable. There is a coin operated laundry in the basement parking area. I would advise using it during the day only because that area is accessible by the public.
“Best value hotel in town!!!”
As a family of four which included two children we could not fault this hotel. We arrived at 7am in the morning from a 10 hour night flight and we were accomodated immediately, no need for us to wait until the usual 3pm check in. We were also given a free room upgrade which had a great view of the ocean. Staff were more than helpful and the rooms were exceptionally clean, beds were super comfortable too. We were given more than enough towels and pillows, in actual fact we left a pile of clean towels etc unused on our departure. The hotel is literally a two minute walk to the beach and shops. At one point our son lost his ball on the roof and hotel staff were more than happy to retrieve it for him. Our trip to Hawaii was very carefully planned and hours were spent reading hotel reviews, we came accross the Waikiki Resort Hotel and read very favourable reviews and I can assure you that this hotel lived up to every positive thing said.....We would definately stay here again and definately recommend this hotel to anyone who wants "bang for their buck!"
“Came back a 2nd time”
We stayed in this hotel 2 years ago. We really liked the location and the staff were all so friendly. So, we decided to stay here again. We just can't say enough good things. It is definitely not like the other 5-star hotels down the street. But, for our budget, we were just really happy with our stay overall.
“Very Pleased”
Room at Waikiki Hotel Resort was much bigger than expected . . . especially after staying at Ohana West where our room was size of a postage stamp. Hotel is close to beach. Generally pleased with our stay . . . would stay there again.
“Most likely would go back.”
My overall opinion is one of complete satisfaction. The issue with only one mirror definately created delay and each of us trying not to hamper the other. Also as far as the hotel goes in the bath/toilet area there was not a hook anywhere to hang your bathrobe or clean clothes or etc. In other words we had to walk out from showering naked to an area to dress which most likely was the mirror/sink area and was occupied by the other person trying to be done and out of the way. The other option was to keep the drapes closed and tip toe passed the "mirror /sink person and then dress from the bedroom area which housed suitcases. This was inconvenient at best. Also, we had one hand towel-one bath towel and one only wash cloth. I'm not in the habit of washing my face with the same cloth I wash my body with and also not happy with either a towel for my body or a towel for my hair. Each day we had to call of extras. I would have thought that request would have been noted and carried over to each day. It is the only hotel stay that I have encountered this particular towel, wash cloth issue-and also the one mirror only issue. The staff was great in every other way. /
