“Would go back in a minute.”
Excellent hotel - can't wait to go back. Staff were completely accommodating.
“Highly recommended, best bang for your buck.”
Condo is 1 block away from the shopping area of waikiki. Its view of the mountain/river is good, not as good as the beach, but for the price, you cant beat it. It is like having your own one bedroom apartment in Hawaii. Living room, bathroom, dining area, balcony with table, bedroom & huge closet. The walk to the beach is 2 blocks away, but as you walk there, you are distracted by the shops, & before you know it, you are at the beach! The condo has plenty of gas grills on the roof. Washer/dryer (free)inside the condo, all you need is soap/softner. Garage parking is included. Access to your condo is secured by an electronic key (very safe). The deluxe suite is very roomy. The sofa bed sleeps 1 adult comfortably, maybe 2, & definetly 2 kids. Overall it was great for the price. You can not beat it. After all, you wont be hanging around in your room while you are in waikiki anyway. If you do, this condo has it all just like your own apartment;Microwave, stove, fridge, dishes, silverware, etc. just bring groceries & save $$$. Beachfront hotels are great because of the view. But if you want to save $$$ stay here & bring quick microwavable meals or grilling meats. If you dont mind a 2 block walk, this is the place for you. Parking is crammed on the streets so even if you rent a car you will need a place to park. Meters are $0.25 per ten minutes & are for 2 hour parking 7a-6p. Parking garages at other hotels are $ 15-$20 per day. Everywhere you go you will have to pay to park.
“condo was a good value”
condo was a good value for the area. it was nice to have room to move around with kitchen and living room. washer and dryer was a nice addition. location was within a five minute walk of the beach
“Handy locations and homely”
Noce place to stay, not on the beach but only a short walk, close to the shops and restaurants. Great Italian restaurant on the corner
“Not luxury, but great service and nice and safe.”
My hubby was a bit sketchy about the hotel/condo due to its being under construction/renovation while we were there. The paint was being removed off the walls on our floor so it looked quite bad, but other floors were fine (we saw them when the elevator stopped there). The staff is AWESOME - really top just notch, and for that alone I would give this place 5 stars. However, the condition of the room was okay. The appliances in the kitchen were whacky - the toaster didn't work (but they did replace it as soon as I called about it - again, great service!), the coffee machine was constantly on, even when off (you had to unplug it from the outlet altogether), the stove was completely mis-wired to a dangerous extent. But the room itself was exactly what we needed - full kitchen with all utensils and stuff, washer/dryer, and clean bathroom with 2 sinks. And the kitchen was stocked with some great complimentary items - fridge full of beer, Coke (yay!), water, coffee and chocolate-covered Macadamia nuts - love it! So, if you are no nonsense and not looking for luxury, this is a great place for you! We traveled with two kids and the place was very safe security-wise.
“Servicable”
This was a good deal in the sense that I didn't want to spend a fortune for a place I was basically sleeping in. I also wanted a kitchen to help reduce food expenses as I was travelling with children who are notorious for not being hungry when I am. But there was no room for error...the staff of the condo didn't answer the phone any of the times I called. When I saw employees and tried to get help from them, they didn't speak English. I broke some glass, and called for help disposing of it because my children were cutting themselves on the broken pieces....I never did get a response from them. But as long as you're willing to take care of yourself and don't need any help ever, then it's a perfectly decent place to spend the night without spending a fortune.
“A huge disapointment”
This condo was a huge disappointment. It is a very old condo which is poorly maintained. The nice condo pictures on their web site were taken many years ago when the condo was new, but is has nothing to do with the the current condition of the rooms. It is falling a part, many elements are broken, the kitchen is so old that the cabinets are falling apart. The bathroom is very old and ugly. The furniture is also very old. The master bedroom and the matris are in such a bad condition that it was impossible to sleep. The pullout sofa was also in a very bad condition (dirty and broken). I'm really sorry that I had to suffer in this condo instead of going to a reasonable hotel in a similar price !!!
“needs improvement”
I was berated in an abusive way for not parking within the white lines of the parking space to which I was moved-due to the original space being used by workman- Where is the aloha spirit?
