“Better than expected....we will go back!”
Hotel and staff were awesome. Very friendly and accommodating....could not have been better. I read that it was worth it to stay on the North Shore and rent a car, making the trip down to Honolulu...that's what we did and it was great.
“Quality for less”
Beautiful resort. For those looking for quality, a slower pace, family oriented, and pocket friendly...this is the place! Quick beach access everywhere. Worth returning every year!
“Get away from the hustle of Waikiki”
The best and worst part of this hotel is its distance from Waikiki and Honolulu. You have to travel about 45 minutes to get to any of the traditional site seeing you'd like to do. However, if you prefer to stay onsite, the resort is very well kept with miles of hiking trails and beaches to enjoy. The downside to the resort is their restaurants. If you are looking for an affordable late dinner with kids, you are not going to have many choices here.
“Beautiful Views”
From all points of the hotel the view was spectacular. The atmosphere was layed back and friendly.
“MUST STAY AT TURTLE BAY”
We were upgraded to a oceanfront cottage without asking at check in. The room was incredible along with the view..Cottage guests get little extra's complimentary. 2 free t-shirts/fresh juice brought to your room and turn down service w/freshly baked macaroon cookies wrapped like gifts in banana leaves. The staff is friendly and genuine. THE ALOHA SPIRIT LIVES AT TURTLE BAY RESORT! The view when i woke up with the North Shores waves rolling in was so beautiful, this was my 6th trip to Hawaii, the 2nd time i stopped in Oahu. Turtle Bay is a must stay when on this island, it is off the beaten path but so much more private and relaxing! Spend a few days here, you wont be dissappointed.
“Beautiful and Relaxing”
Turtle Bay is beautiful and relaxing. The ocean views and beaches are wonderful. If you want lots of activities off the resort property plan for at least a 20 minute drive and if you want activities in Honolulu plan for at least an hour. Food is expensive but was very good. The staff are wonderful and concierge service excellent. We had an ADA accessible room which could have used a towel bar near the shower. More music or entertainment on property would have added to the experience. The resort overall is great and would definitely return.
“Only North Shore Resort....”
We went to Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu for five nights for our honeymoon. No upgrades were available, however upon hearing it was our honeymoon we received complimentary champagne, which was nice. Turtle Bay is a typical resort, offering lots of activities as well as restaurants, pools, and beaches. While it is definitely more "true Hawaii" than anywhere in Waikiki, you do have to leave the resort to truly experience Hawaii and the culture. Luckily, TBR is close to beautiful public beaches, the Polynesian cultural center, awesome local restaurants and Haliewa. It is the only resort on the North Shore, however, and the prices are reflected in what that allows. Happy Hour is available at various restaurants daily, easing the pain a bit for us. The bathrooms were dated, but functional and the refrigerators in each room are great and help keep costs at bay. The breakfast buffet is not worth the splurge, head to Ted's Bakery instead.
“going to be back in the future”
Hotel, and room were well kept, and the service was excellent. The views were amazing and the place was just simply amazing!
“Great and very relaxing”
we will be back. we had a great time. Just beautiful.
“Turtle Bay Resort”
The ultimate resort in the Northshore of Oahu, Hawaii. I allows you to experience the real Hawaii and only 50 minutes away from Honolulu... An experience that will last me a lfetime (second time stayed here).
