“Awesome location!”
Great overall hotel.
“Worth every penny - they've made a customer for life...”
We loved this hotel. We were upgraded to an Ocean Front room and it was amazing. The hotel is on the beach and the water directly in front of the hotel is clear and surrounded by coral (with yellow and black striped fish). The bathrooms are very nice and the amenities were great. We loved having a fridge in our room. The location is key with ABC Stores on every corner and affordable shopping mixed in with high-end stores like Coach. Room service was great (the fish and chips are a must get - the mahi mahi was delicious with the dipping sauce). Duke's was great and breakfast was worth waking up early for to get a seat along the open patio with views of Diamond Head. The made-to-order omelets are key - along with everything you can imagine, including macadamia nut butter. Duke's salad bar with dinner is very good - but the fresh fish was amazing. The pool services guy was so nice and kind - we looked forward to seeing him. We actually stayed for 3 nights and then headed up north to stay at a well-reviewed resort on the north shore - but it was so awful - we worked with Expedia to get a refund and return to the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach. When we walked back in on a Sunday night the Elvis impersonator was in the lobby making everyone laugh and we felt like we had returned home. We stayed an additional 2 nights at the Outrigger and never looked back. Our only complaint: Thin walls - when a new "neighbor" checked in on our 2nd night we heard every word they said.
“Loved Everything about the Outrigger. Location, Service, Restaurants...all exceeded expectations.”
We just returned from 10 days at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach. I don't have one negative thing to say. The room was beautiful and clean. The employees were all wonderful and the location was the best on Waikiki. Other hotels had much smaller beach areas or were across the street with no hotel beach area at all. The restaurants that I tried (Hula Grill and Duke's) were both great. The pool area was nice and the view from our room was fantastic. If you can afford it, get the oceanfront room. It is well worth it.
“Excellent”
Only one small niggle in an otherwise brilliant two weeks which is not of the Outriggers making, our room which was on the right hand side when looking from Kalekaua Avenue towards the ocean suffered the continual air con extractor noise,(worse at night) from the Cheese Cake Restaurant next door, but a small price considering, nothing else detracted.A must is Chucks Steak House Restaurant a limited menu but service and what is offered is first class. The only other but in the holliday was the increase of vagrants lying about on beaches and on benches I do not remember them there on our last visit, they were no bother and did not spoil the holliday.Expedia reps at the hotel excellent hotel once again 99.9%
“great hotel at the beach”
Really enjoyed staying there other than the street noise at night everything about the hotel was great. Great location, very clean, and very friendly and helpful service.
“The ideal hotel in Waikiki”
The Outrigger Waikiki is our preferred hotel. We won't stay anywhere else. It's beautiful, clean, great food, best oceanview rooms, and the staff is friendly and accommodating.
“Great Location”
Truly a beach front property. We were pleased when we arrived to receive an ocean front free upgrade. Only drawback was that it was located on the first floor and the noise from Duke's was sometimes bothersome. Would go back again and pay for an ocean front but would definitely request it to be located on a higher floor. The breakfast buffet was good. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table and most days just walked right in. The pool was nice but you need to get there early and save a lounge chair. The sunset from our balcony was amazing. We plan to come back next year.
“A Great Choice on the beach”
Great hotel - convenient location close to all. Duke's is good food at a reasonable price - buffet breakfast is great. partial ocean view room was perfect - views to beach and to city lights. only complaint was that two days in a row my coffee was not restocked. oh well.
“Great place to stay!”
This hotel was recommended by a co-worker. After hearing her rave about the hotel and reading reviews online we knew this was the place we wanted to stay. This was our honeymoon and it was the perfect place. We loved that we were able to walk down to the ocean from our hotel. We were close to restaurants and shopping. The employees were all very helpful and pleasant. We definitely will go back and stay at the Outrigger Waikiki!
“Great Place”
We have stayed at the Outrigger on the Beach for 3 years in a row and will return hopefully next year. Make sure to have dinner at Chucks in the Hotel.
