Property Amenities
The beachfront Outrigger Reef invites couples to Hoi Hou Ke Aloha, a ceremony to renew their wedding vows. This complimentary ceremony is held every Tuesday and Friday morning at 8 AM (schedule subject to change), on Waikiki Beach in front of the hotel.
The Outrigger Reef also offers surfing lessons, outrigger canoe rides, and catamaran cruises (surcharges for all). The hotel features a pool and sundeck, a fitness center, and three on-site spa tubs. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all meeting rooms, the lobby, and the pool area.
Lobby diversions at this Honolulu hotel include Hawaiian music, hula, and craft demonstrations; shopping; a pool table; display cases of Hawaiian calabash bowls; and a day spa (surcharge). Guests are greeted to this island environment by a newly added (November 2008) porte cochere, featuring a Polynesian Canoe house.

The 639 air-conditioned rooms, in 3 towers on 18 floors, have cable TV with pay movies and video games. Amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, coffeemakers, compact refrigerators, and in-room safes.
Some simple saver rooms and moderate rooms have no lanais or views. All other rooms at The Outrigger Reef on the Beach have lanais. Bathrooms feature full-sized tubs and made-in-Hawaii bath products. Guestrooms are all nonsmoking.
Guests enjoy complimentary direct-dial phone calls to Oahu, neighbor islands, U.S. mainland, and Canada.

Dining
The Ocean House Restaurant - Serving contemporary island-style dinners, including fresh fish and prime rib. Relaxed but stylish open-air, beachfront setting.
Shore Bird Restaurant - Open to the beach, serving casual breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including buffets for all three meals and grill-your-own options at dinner. Boisterous evenings with live entertainment nightly.
Kani Ka Pila Grille - Serving casual Hawaiian dishes from early morning until late night. Full bar. Live music from well-known Hawaiian entertainers.
Starbucks - Serving coffee and pastries.
Room service is available.
Recreation
From the beach, hotel guests enjoy swimming, body-surfing in the small shorebreak, surfing lessons, outrigger canoe rides, and catamaran cruises (surcharges). The complimentary fitness room has a treadmill, free weights, step machines and weight machines. A day spa offers massages, facials, and manicures (surcharges).
The public Ala Wai Golf Course is a 10-minute drive away.

The ceremony includes elements of ancient Hawaiian custom, song, prayers, and dance. Couples receive a certificate commemorating their participation in this Hawaiian ceremony.
Couples must be legally married and complete a brief application to participate. Cannot be combined with Aloha or Simple Saver rates.

“Looking forward to coming back.”
The Outrigger Reef is the best hotel I have stayed at. The staff was very helpful and friendly during my stay there. I would definitely stay there again. The only problem I had was setting up the wi-fi for my laptop. Having three restaurants in the hotel and direct access to the beach were a huge plus. The rooms were decent size with comfortable furniture. The balcony also gave us a good view of the ocean and pool.
“All You Need in Waikiki”
The Outrigger on the Beach was great - top location - easy access to the beach and shops. Good restaurants and bars and the room was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would go back for sure.
“Best Hotel in Waikiki By Far!!”
I travel alot and am a self admitted hotel snob.. and let me tell you this is probably THE nicest hotel overall I have ever stayed at. From the decor to the bedding (which was by far the most comfy hotel bed I ever slept on) everything was spectacular! We had an ocean front room with two balconies and it was literally on the beach. If you can afford it spend the little extra it is definitely worth every penny! I have been to Waikiki at least a dozen times and this was my first stay here but I will never stay anywhere else again.
“Xmas in Hawaii”
The hotel was in a great location, the staff is freindly and helpful. The room was bigger than we expected so that was nice. The internet was fast in the morning and later at night , but lagged a little during the day.The free calling to home is a good bonus we used it every day. We had nothing to complain about, all around a great experience and we would go back.

Loved EVERY minute of this hotel. Service was great and not too intrusive. Hotel room was outstanding beds comfy/ quite. We had an Ocean front room on the 10th floor and was stunning. Pool is a tad small but to be honest all of them in Waikiki are. We had no issues with finding space. But this hotel is right on the beach and you can literally step on/off from the hotel. I did not enjoy the restaurants too much. Plesant enough but I wouldnt bother again. Overpriced for what they are when there is so much to choose from around. However if you are hotel-bound then its fine. I stayed at 3 other hotels during my 10 day stay in Hawaii and would happily go back to Outrigger Reef in a heartbeat !! In fact I was in Tears at a 5 star hotel days later and dont even take me back to the Hilton - what a nitemare with disgusting service. Cant wait to get back to Outrigger next year. Best time. Thank you !!
“Waikiki Best Hotel”
Loved this hotel. Convienent and just a super great hotel. Staff was friendly! Can't wait to go back. Ocean Shore restaurant was awesome!!!
“Wonderful location”
This hotel is a terrific place to base yourself for a visit to Oahu - it is central, easy to get to and close to shops, restaurants and transport. The pool is lovely, the restaurants and bars are good and the rooms clean and tidy. Ignore the 'free gift' it is dependant on attending a timeshare seminar. So great hotel but Waikiki is only a tiny part of Hawaii and not representative - the other islands and the rest of Oahu is much better - wild rugged countryside, beautiful beaches, amazing scenery - Waikiki is a zoo in comparison!
“Would stay here again”
Wonderful place to stay. Easiest check in I have ever had, the room was very nice. We were even there for the tsunami, the hotel kept us informed through a speaker system integrated into the rooms. Very conveniently located every kind of store, restaurant or anything you could possibly want right within walking distance of the hotel. There is even a car rental agency located in the hotel. Wonderful restaurant located there also right on the beach.
“Great service”
Our room was very clean and comfortable. We reported a problem with the sliding door on the closet; service staff where at our door to fix the problem within 15 minutes.
