“Canadian's 1st time in Hawaii”
This was our first trip to Hawaii. We had a great time at the hotel. If you are booking a room with a mountain view, it really means a view of the city with mountains in the background. Rooms above the 6th floor on city-view side are considered mountain view. They show a picture of Diamond Head and partial ocean-view, that is not what you get. Need to book partial "ocean-view" to get those rooms. We didn't spend much time in the room during the day, so we didn't bother upgrading. Concierge was very helpful for booking attractions and trips. Aloha landing is attached to the hotel for shuttle pickups to different events (really handy). This is definitely one of the best hotel locations in Waikiki. You won't go wrong staying here! Worth the few extra dollars that you pay.
“Best hotel with beach and best location in Waikiki”
We booked partial ocean view room and requested mobility scooter access plus two double beds through Expedia. The hotel gave us exactly what we requested, even they arranged the furniture to accommodate more space to the motorized scooter. We were upgraded to ocean view room (other hotels may call it ocean front room) which has gorgeous view of the infinity pool and the full view of the ocean. The hotel has the best location in Waikiki with shops just steps outside. My teenage kids loved it so much. Certainly will book to Sheraton Waikiki next time.
“very happy”
A little construction still underway but did not effect us. We had a fantastic view. It felt like our balcony was right over the water, Really enjoyed watching the turtles from the balcony. A great stay!!
“Paradise!”
My husband and I stayed here from Oct 11-19/09 and had an absolutely fabulous time. I have no idea what other people are complaining about, because we found it to be terrific. I guess some people must not be happy no matter what. We loved everything about it, other than the renovations of course, but what are you going to do - they are improving the hotel and it has to be done some time. They gave us a great rate on an ocean front room because of it. The serenity pool is amazing, so is the other pool, along with all of the pool staff. Room was great, view of the ocean from the shower was amazing, nice gym, excellent location. Yes, the pool-side drinks and food is pricey, but it is what it is. Have a few for a treat once in a while, and stock up your room fridge with cheap beer, bottled water, yogurt, cereal, sandwiches, etc from the ABC store next door. Then go to one of the hundreds of restaurants within walking distance for dinner if you find the hotel too expensive, and choose a place in your price range to eat. You don't want to stay at the hotel all of the time anyway. We will definately be back. If you're a stickler for 5 star everything, then go to a 5 star, but we loved it.

“Fabulous Stay!”
This is the second time we've stayed at this Sheraton before renovation & after. We love the new reno, beautiful, gives a very warm welcoming/inviting atmosphere... The service is great. We asked for a room with the Gorgeous view of Diamond Head & with a pleasant smile the Front Desk Clerk she was ver receptive & we were extremely delighted with a Fantabulous View of Diamond Head when we walked into the room! Overall, the Lounge, the New Horizon Pool etc... Are all Stylishly Designed which gives a Fresh & Youthful Atmosphere to this Fabulous Hotel! We highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
“Nicest sunsets in the world”
Sheraton Waikiki was an amazing hotel. The hotel is close to all major amenities and great restaurants. The highlight of the hotel was the beautiful sunsets from the Infinity pool. The hotel staff were all very friendly and the rooms were very clean. Amazing views from the room balcony! The concierge people were extremely helpful at recommending events and tours. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Waikiki. Also, the walks along the beach and the beautiful sunsets are undescribable! We cannot wait to go back and stay there next time we are in Waikiki.
“The only hotel that tops this, is The Royal Hawaiian”
I have been travelling to Oahu, for thiry years. There is only two places I will stay in Waikiki, The Sheraton Waikiki or The Royal Hawaiian. The location is off the main drag, so you are able to have a resort feel. The breakfast buffet at the Sheraton is the best on Oahu!
“Would go back in a heart beat!”
My girlfriend and i went at the end of August and had an amazing time. When we booked our trip our room was booked for a city view room. It was the worst thing we ever did. The next morning we went to the front desk and upgraded to the ocean view room ($75 extra a night). The room was fantastic and with the upgrade they gave us free breakfast buffet vouchers for every day we stayed as well as free high speed internet. The pool area was outstanding. It was hard to get a chair though. There's a waterslide, waterfall and hot tub. They also just opened up the new endless pool when we got there. Best of all it looks like they are adding to the pool area so hopefully next time we'll get seats ;) Lastly, location, you cant beat it. Step out of the hotel, pass the pool and you're on the beach.
“Definitley will go back to that hotel.....”
The hotel is very comfortable, right on the beach... however the portion of beach that is the hotels is quite small but there is easy access to beaches all along... Hotel staff was awesome... very friendly and helpful.
