“Try not to stay while they're totally booked.”
Unfortunately, we stayed at Princess Kaiulani during a week when they were completely booked and we couldn't upgrade to a room with a balcony and/or view of the ocean. Being use to staying at resorts, we were not too happy with a motel room. I enjoy having a kitchenette. But that being said, the hotel was very nice. I knew it was older, that is why I picked it, but more work could be done with the upkeep, such as glueing down lifting wall paper and installing arched shower curtain rods so the curtain doesn't stick to you when you shower. The bed was the best I have ever had at a resort, down pillows and comforters and this is the first time I've gone home without a backache. The breakfast and dinner buffets were great.
“Love this hotel-great location”
This was my second year to stay at this hotel. I returned for many reasons. The hotel lobby and room were both clean. The proximity to the beach, my favorite destination, is terrific. My husband sends me for R&R by myself, so I enjoy staying in the center of Waikiki. I am almost across the street from the Police Station, I am across the street from the beach, I am close to so many shopping areas, and can walk just about anywhere I want to go, or take a free trolley. I do not like to rent a car so this location is perfect. I had a great room with a wonderful view of the ocean, and 18 sunny warm days!!!!
“Best Family Vacation EVER!”
Loved the way all employees treated us! Perfect location! Very clean, great location plenty to do, very comfortable beds. Already telling others to stay only there.
“Best Hotel in Waikiki”
The staff was great. The room was very good. I have stayed at this hotel before and things are always as they should be. If you have an issue...it is taken care of almost immediately. Comfortable beds and a clean room. Furnishings were a little dated but the hotel itself is not new. The Pikaki Terrace buffet is always a great meal though a little pricey. Price was offset some by discounts provided by the desk staff. I heard others from other hotels complaining about charges for just printing out a boarding pass but I was able to do so at the Princess K for no charge. Overall a great experience and I will stay there again when I make my next trip to Oahu.
“Would stay here again!”
The hotel lobby/pool area is very beautiful and open. The room was small but had plenty of storage. We weren't in the hotel room much so it was more than adequate. Parking was pricey but convenient. All the employees were friendly and helpful. Great price for the location near Waikiki beach. Would definitely stay here again.
“Can't wait to go back...”
Can't wait to go back... : )
“Will stay again when I go back”
This hotel gives you the feeling of Hawaii, also close to the beach but also has a great pool with restaurant and entertainment every night. The hotel is within walking distance to transport, good restaurants and shops
“Not Long Enough”
We had the best time. Everyone on staff was so pleasant and helpful. Our room was so nice except it could have had a bigger dresser and more comfortable chair. Many crafters were in the lobby each morning and it was fun to learn to make orchid lei and get quilting instructions. Lovely artwork also on display and for sale which was very special. The only drawback was the cafe area attached to the bar. The service was the Worst (altho friendly) and a few more servers would have helped a lot. So many nice activities even a Hawaiian priest to lead a vow-renewing ceremony on Valentines Day followed by a lovely little reception for the participants after. lEvery couple got an orchid lei to exchange with each other. Our two week stay was far too short. We definitely recommend this hotel - perfect location across from the beach and all the best stores and restaurants.
“the place to stay”
very good location,good evening entertainment
“Excellent experience!!!!!”
The hotel was a great surprise for us. It was a very nice building, with great location and excellent services. We had a beautiful room on 14th floor, very comfortable beds, and very clean. The hotel has a very nice swimming pool and other amenities for my grandkids.
