“diamondhead view, beach, zoo and starbucks”
I hadn't been to Waikiki in 13 years and frankly from reading reviews from people getting to Waikiki and being disappointed with their rooms I was very careful but still didn't know what I would get until I arrived. We were very pleased! We paid extra for the suite so that we would have a king size bed and our teen daughter would have a bed. The suite has a pull out sofa bed and ample space to move around vs. small rooms with 2 double beds. The view was better than I expected! We had a view of Diamondhead and the zoo beach/ocean. It was fairly quiet at night. We had a lanai and could also see the pool down below. There wasn't a fan in the bathroom so we had to run the A/C and open the patio door when we took a shower but the room temperature was great as there were actually 2 thermostats for each area of the room and we didn't need to use it very much even though the outside temps were around 85 each day. The mini fridge was oddly small and yet they had all kinds of plates and utensils in the room with a micro. We didn't buy any groceries and just stored water and the ice bucket in it. Our plane left late at night and so we asked if we could have a late check out. It was $10 per hour so we only paid like $35 with tax for the extra time. If you go at a busy time of year you may not be able to do the late check out if the room is already reserved. I have to say Expedia does a much better job at explaining the room details. This hotel is a good value in a good loc.
“Loved Park Shore”
I loved the Park Shore! In my opinion, it was a 5 star hotel at a 2 star price. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the staff was extremely helpful. It's directly across the street from the beach. I had an ocean view room (which I recommend) and the view was absolutely gorgeous. My boyfriend and I watched the sun set on the balcony every night. There are two activities desks in the lobby that conveniently helped plan our activities for the week. I definitely recommend it. :)
“Great Location, Great Deal”
We have stayed here for two years in a row now and TOTALLY enjoyed it!!! Its an awesome location and priced right!! Rooms a bit dated but did notice a make over of some rooms going on while we were there, hope this doesn't change the price! Would highly recommend it for a good bargain and great location!
“Fantastic”
I thought the hotel was great. Beautiful views, very clean and friendly. I would definitely stay in one of their hotels again.
“Many treasured memories, can't wait to go back!”
Upon arriving to the hotel after a long overnight flight we were greeted with smiles and a pleasant Island welcome, the cheerful porter brought our bags up to our room which was an oceanfront on the 15th floor. Our room was everything we had hoped it would be and the bed was like falling asleep on a cloud, a much needed blissful sleep we enjoyed. By morning we awoke to a magnificent view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach that was simply breathtaking, we could also hear the Monkeys and Elephants from the Zoo which added a special touch, White Doves were abundant along with early morning Surfers, a Humpback Whale and her Calf made a daily stroll by the hotel this was so unexpected and beautiful. The hotel was very clean and our guest attendants were the best! Whatever comfort we asked for such as extra towels to bed linen changes we received thru-out our 9 day stay. This hotel is not fancy but it has an old world charm that's an added luxury at no extra charge. My husband and I found our Island Paradise and we look foward to our next years stay at Park Shores.
“Where I Always Stay”
I have been coming back to the Park Shore for the past four years. Why ? Because the staff is awesome, its located right by the beach, its clean, its within walking distance of many restaurants and nightlife, etc. Sure its no 5 star resort where everyone has their hand out for a tip. Its just a place that has a killer bar ( Lulu's) , clean rooms, and very friendly people PLUS the best views of the sunset !
“I Will Return”
This is my second stay at the Park Shore in two years. There is no better value in Waikiki. It is far enough away from the crowded end of Waikiki that it almost feels secluded yet it's close enough to take an easy stroll to see what you aren't missing. The rooms are a little on the small side and they could use a paint job but the location, price and views make up for everything.
“Great Location, Great Service”
We had a great stay at the Park Shore Waikiki. The hotel staff was very accomodating. Our 'Partial Ocean View' room had a suprisingly exceptional view, and we will totally stay there again. Originally, we had a two night reservation. We actaully had to check in one night early and they were quick to get us a room and we got to keep the same room all three nights. It is an extra 20 bucks per night for parking, but this is pretty standard for cities with limited parking such as Honolulu/Waikiki area. Free internet in the lobby was great also, and Starbucks right down stairs is also very convenient. The hotel as a whole could use some renovations, but as soon as they do I am sure the price will have to go up, so enjoy it for the great price now!
“good hotel”
we really enjoyed our stay the room was small but it was clean, the view and the location could not be beat I would return
“Loved it! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Waikiki”
My husband, who frequently visits Hawaii, convinced me to find a "cheaper" hotel in Waikiki because I would only be sleeping there. I am so glad I listened to him! The room was very basic, but you couldn't beat the location. My balcony overlooked the beach, the park and Diamondhead. The beach is directly across the street and was never too crowded. I was traveling alone for most of the trip and as a female, I felt totally safe in this area. I loved to wake up early and hit the running paths right outside in the park. The hotel is near the end of the strip, so it is slightly more quiet (if that's possible in Waikiki). I would suggest getting a room on one of the upper floors. I'm a light sleeper and had no problem sleeping on the 10th floor. The room was small, but it had everything you need if you don't plan on spending all your time there. You can't beat the price or location of the Park Shore.
