“Makaha Resort”

We actually had a very nice stay at this resort. It was a bit of a distance to most the tourist sites but we didn't mind. We would return. We enjoyed our visit and enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of honololu.

“Would stay again in a heartbeat!”

If you are looking for a hotel that is quiet, peaceful and in the most beautiful valley in the island of Oahu, then look no further. The homeless do occupy the beach area however the Resort is located about a mile into the valley away from the surf. It is its own piece of paradise. The resort is for those of us who want to "get away from the ratrace" and relax. The food served for dinner was wonderful, the service was great. The employees were also a delight. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked beautifully. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. Would love to go again.

“A very lovely place to stay”

This is a beautiful, well kept resort. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are not fancy, but are comfortable and clean. It's a peaceful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You do have to drive about an hour to get to Honolulu but for us that was ok. The eating place by the pool had good and reasonably priced food for breakfast and lunch.

“Quiet and restful”

Extremely quite--no planes overhead, no traffic noise, and no loud people noise. Great golf course and was not hurried through the course.

“Makaha”

This hotel was the little seceret of Oahu's. The only let down that I had was it was so far away from everything else going on on the island. In March the waves kick up to 20+ feet in Makaha, so I would suggest to go in that season to have something to do in the town. Safety issuses also were a concern in the city (not at the resort). This Resort was wonderfull though, it was the highlight of my overall trip. Beautifull landscape, nice pool, nice people, excellent food. I give it a 5 star!!

“Very nice place.”

We really liked the hotel and the surroundings. The Makaha Beach is beautiful, not crowded and good for families with kids. You can snorkle for turtles and fisch and watch the wales from the beach (March). There are no rats! The animal is a magoon (spelling?)that you see quite often at the resort. Yes, you can see and hear geckos. But they are really sweet to look at. It takes 1 hour to the North Shore. Be sure not to drive sooner than 9 am and don't get back sooner than 6 pm. because of the traffic. For March this side is better because it is not as windy as the east coast and less rain.
