Waikiki Beach and the Waikiki Beach Walk's shops and restaurants are just 2.5 blocks from this hotel—even less, if guests take a shortcut through Fort DeRussy Park. The freshly renovated Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center is about one-third mile from the Maile Sky Court. Attractions within a half-mile include the International Market Place, the upscale DFS Galleria, the convention center, and the aquarium. City buses stop near the hotel entrance.
A large sundeck surrounds the outdoor pool and spa tub. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the lobby. Vit's Hawaiian Steak House is on site, and many other dining options to suit all tastes and budgets are within a short stroll.
The Maile Sky Court is entirely nonsmoking.

“Affordable and convenient”
Pros: Walking distance to everything, affordable by Waikiki area standards, stunning views from ocean view rooms, fridge where you can store stuff plus coffee-maker, free internet in the very nice lobby. Cons: They charge for everything extra and I mean everything! Need extra sugar and coffee for your coffeemaker- there's a charge, internet in your room? charge, need to make local calls? charge. Need to send an email at the business center? charge. Forgot your toothpaste or toothbrush? None provided! But I guess they have to charge for those things to keep the room rates low. Overall its a great hotel for the budget conscious, just make sure you carry your own laptop for the lobby internet and there is an ABC store down the street across from the restaurant where you can buy any supplies you need cheaply. Cheapskates like me can also buy loads of cheap hotdogs and snacks there to avoid paying the ridiculously expensive prices in Waikiki in general.
“14 nights in paradise”
This was my fifth stay at Maile Sky Court, 14 nights this time. Restful, relaxing, quiet and a good bargain for the Waikiki area. Sure, the hotel is a little dated, but my room in the upper portion of the tower was clean and had a great ocean view. House-keeping was good and the front lobby people are friendly and very helpful. This location is convenient whether one is traveling by foot or by vehicle. Bus stop is across the street. There are convenience stores, restaurants and coffee shops close by. I will be back for another stay next year.
“being a local sure helps”
it might have helped that I am from hawaii and am a philipino, but i was given the royal treatment for my stay.
“never didappointed !!!”

“Alaskans go to Hawaii!”
Once I arrived at the hotel, we were immediately greeted by the hotel staff. We were given information on our room and the best local places to go. Sabastian was an amazing front desk staff. He was always readily available to help us with whatever information we needed and to get us in the right direction. Our room was always tended to. The pool was a great place to go relax after a long day. The people who planned the excursions were not very talkative but nice when they did talk. The main hotel staff were just amazing!
“Clean, comfortable, Good location for walking and local scene”
The hotel was perfect for me. Just one block in from the main street of Wikiki. It's location is at the end with the newest shopping and restaurants on Lewers st. You must go to Henry's off of Beachwalk. A little local business with fresh fruit and other inexpensive good food! Henry and his Dad own it.
“Great Deal!”
We were extremely impressed with the Ohana Maile Sky Court Hotel. It is an older hotel and since it was rather inexpensive, we weren't expecting too much. We were looking for a place to shower and sleep, but we got more than that. The front desk was VERY helpful and friendly. Our room had a nice view and was clean, with our only complaint being that maid service did not come until late in the afternoon each day. We were on the 24th floor and didn't think that the elevators were as slow as some of the other people have pointed out. We found the location to be great. It was a short walk to the beach (although if you want the nicer beaches, you have to walk further down) and located by great restuarants and shops. When we planned excursions we were always that last to be picked up and the first dropped off, which was really nice! We did not need to rent a car because we could walk everywhere and when we needed a cab to go golfing, the front desk was extremely helpful in arranging one for us! We spent an afternoon at the pool, which was a little on the small side, but it served it's purpose. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely stay there again. If you are looking for an affordable hotel with a great location, the Ohana Sky Court is the place!
“GREAT HOTEL - Parking Garage is a SCARY CHALLENGE”
Check in was very fast and easy, and the desk clerk also found a room with a view for me (of the Ala Wai canal) a few buildings did not obstruct my view very much. NOW THE PARKING GARAGE IS A CHALLENGE: you go up on a 30-35 degree upward slant and have to push a button to get your passing stub and open the gate, you slide back slightly to the street behind you, and you have to put on the accelerator to get up that steep incline. I was warned by the garage attendants that on RAINY days this is REALLY hard becase the pavement is slippery and you have to "pedal to the metal" and SCREECH up into the garage. Other Drivers exiting know this and wait for somebody coming in to get up that hill before they proceed down. I would stay at this hotel again, but I would not use their parking lot EVER again, just too scary.
“beautiful ocean views”
staff couldn't have been nicer....beds were uncomfy but clean..restaurant attached has good food...prices were ok...abc store is right across the street...great location....everything is in walking distance...and if it's not the bus stop is right across the street as well
“Incredibly Convenient!!”
This hotel was at a close walking distance from everything!! The beach was 5 minutes away walking. Shopping centers, stores, restaurants etc were all within 3-5 minutes away (again walking). I also had a great city and beach view on the 41st floor! In a sense i loved the fact that their internet was not complementary in the room. It allowed me to stay away from my computer and really enjoy Waikiki. However, if you want/need internet you can have it in your room for a fee. Or, you can go to the main lobby and use their free wifi. The staff was great; so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
