Great Location Great HotelPosted 19-Feb-2014
Pros: Location Location Location friendly staff no hassle check-in or out nice pool ,ABC store across the road restaurants across the road ,park next door
Cons: Electric Kettle for boiling water instead of coffee maker
Location: Great Location near all the sites of Waikiki hand to Ala Moana ,Waikiki central ,airport, beach
We chose this hotel after reviewing many on various websites we have stayed in Waikiki on a number of occasions and are very familiar with the area this hotel is great value for money its a great location 15 min walk to Ala Moana shopping Mall 5-10 min Walk to central Waikiki 10 min walk to the beach . We had booked a kitchen studio room with a city view on check in we were given a room on the East side of the hotel over looking Fort De Russey Park and out to the beach which was great there are no hotel buildings either side of this hotel so you have unobstructed views over the area from either side .This is a great hotel for those of you who want to prepare some of your own meals ,there is a restaurant on site for breakfast and lunch which we didn't use so cant comment on its quality.Great park next door easy access to the beach a most enjoyable stay thanks to the friendly helpful staff.

Over booked switched to different hotelPosted 17-Feb-2014
The Luana Waikiki was over booked and we were moved to the Lotus Diamond Head. We arrived before our room was ready. We left our luggage at the front desk and went for a long walk. By the time we got back to the hotel our room had been given to someone else and we were upgraded to the penthouse at no additional charge.

Good but with clichesPosted 17-Feb-2014
Pros: The view is beautiful The housekeeping is pretty good and the front staff are helpful and pleasant, just one person gave us attitude.
Cons: Try harder to fulfil the requested accomodation without giving the guest such a hassle and blaming the site they booked it with.
Location: The hotel is located on a lovely park and only a short walk to the beach.
Generally enjoyed our stay but some hassle getting the reservation we had requested. The hotel does not take any responsibility for this just blames expedia which does not help the guest. Jana at the front desk did help us get the suite as requested in our reservation.

Last minute change for complaintPosted 8-Feb-2014
I had an reservation in Pagoda hotel in deluxe room as they shown in pictures. Once i arrived with my husban we were waiting for 2 more hrs after check in time and finally when the got ready, they gave us the most ugly, nasty, unhealth and off course uncomfy room. Fortunately expedia solved this problem once changed us to Luana Waiki at aqua resorts !!! Nice place, great location, an staff very nice.

Nice Location, Near Park & OceanPosted 7-Feb-2014
Pros: Location, Quality for price paid, staff
Cons: Air Conditioning Units, mainly outside of them.
Location: plenty of shopping and food, and a beautiful park within minutes walking time
I really enjoyed my stay here. The past bunch of times I have come to Honolulu, I stayed closer to Waikiki Beach, this tme I thought I'd try a few miles away. The Luana is actually a really nice hotel. It's right next to Fort DeRussey Park, and just about a 15 minute walk to the beach. It's near a lot of shopping and food options. I would also recomment Kona Bill's Broaster made Chicken, which is sold at the Gas Station right next to the hotel if you like fried Chicken. (5 Stars from Me). The rooms are really nice, decent bathroom, the staff is amazing and always nice, especially the Maid service and hospitality staff. I would stay here again and for the price it truly gives you a relaxing stay in Honolulu.

It fit our needs perfectly. Will stay there againPosted 31-Jan-2014
Pros: I liked it better than the Sheraton Waikiki. More practical and a comfortable feeling.
Cons: A non slip mat for the bathtub
Location: A more relaxing location just off the busy part of downtown, but close enough to walk to, or take a trolley for shopping for sight seeing
It is a clean hotel with very helpful staff and a comfortable room. We do not use the beach so we don't need to stay on it. Convenient location to transportation, and a small cafe with excellent food. We were in Honolulu for a wedding and it fit our needs very well.

Definitely would book there again.Posted 29-Jan-2014
Pros: I liked the location, staff, cold water, free computers and general atmosphere of the hotel.
Cons: Cant do much about the traffic noise so not really.
Location: Great location as you are close to the Waikiki shops and down the right end to be close to Ala Moana which is definitely worth a look.
I have only just returned from my honeymoon and believe this hotel has many good aspects to it. It wasn't the biggest room but definitely suited my wife and I. It was in a good location with a small walk one way to the shops of Waikiki and a small walk the other way to get to Ala Moana Shopping Centre. It has free internet and computers for you to use and nice cold orange/ cucumber water in the foyer which I liked. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times of our stay. The only real downfall was having a street side room as it could be quite noisy so not sure how a light sleeper would go. Especially due to many people appearing to have very loud cars/motorbikes. Overall my wife and I were very happy with this hotel and found it better than many others we have stayed at in the past. Not for people who like luxury though.

Only valet parking, and a little expensive, but would still recommend highly

Problems of WIFI and floorPosted 27-Jan-2014
Because room#303 has broken wifi antenna, we cannot use it. Maintenance manager said there is weak signal and it is working, he can't do anything. Daily housekeeping maid did her duties very well except floor.

Very comfortble hotel with perfect facilities.Posted 22-Jan-2014
The room service is great. There is a pool and the recreation room. Many ABC store near the hotel, and the bus station just across a street. And the check-out process is pretty fast, no other fees or taxes need to charge.
