Recent vacation in Paradise!

Posted 18-Oct-2014
Pros: The staff was great.
Cons: Pricing
Location: It is right on the main drag in Waikiki. Close to lots of shops.
We just returned from 8 days in Waikiki. We stayed at the Luana Waikiki. It was great. Very friendly. Close to shops, restaurants and the beach. Can catch the City Bus or ride the Trolley most everywhere. The hotel staff was very good about getting us transportation when we weren't walking. Was able to walk to most places. Woould go back again.

Shows some age

Room was just okay. Small bathroom. Hotel appears to need a remodel. Does not have a bar or full restaurant, just a small breakfast cafe. Situated on a busy street.

Hidden Gem in Waikiki

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Quite and relaxing
Cons: They offer free shuttle to the mall , would be nice to offer it to other end of Waikiki beach
Location: The Beach is in walking distance , the property is next to fort DeRussey park which is beautiful park . Walking distance to shopping and restaurants .
This is our second stay at the Luana Waikiki . Our stay this time was even better than our last stay . Staff is friendly , helpful . I've stayed at the Hilton Village & Marriot spa in Waikiki and I prefer the Luana . Its quite and small , not as busy as other hotels in the area which we found very nice and relaxing . The hotel offers beach chairs , umbrellas , boogie borders , snorkling equipment , beach towels for use at the beach. The rooms where fully equip with everything you need for your kitchen . We cooked and bbq often . all around awesome stay . Well be back for a 3rd stay .

Quiet hotel, little trek to the water

Posted 13-Oct-2014
Pros: Fitness room, not too long of a walk from the beach, about 15 minutes tops. Close to a lot of shops and food places.
Cons: The AC needs to be changed to a upgraded and quieter unit.
Firstly when you walk into this hotel you will be pretty amazed at the new renovations of the lobby and front facade as it does not match the surroundings as it is gorgeous. The hotel staff is very friendly and is willing to help you out to their best knowledge. I used the onsite touring booking and it was easy and hassle free. I would recommend just booking the trips when you get to the hotel as you are not saving much money online. The room was very nice looking and it was cleaned very well each day with friendly cleaning staff. The only gripe I have about my stay was that the AC was super loud and the bed is a bit too soft for my liking. The rest of the stay was nice and I would stay there again.

My experience at the hotel

Posted 11-Oct-2014
Pros: Free WiFi. The balcony with the unit. Good to have a fridge. Close to town. Cafe good ate there a few times. Helpful staff.
Cons: Loud sound of the air conditioning. Lack of microwave for cooking and decent drapes by the balcony window would have made the room darker at night.
Location: Close to town - shops near by to buy food etc.
On the whole it was convenient for town. Good facilities. Free WiFi good. The air conditioning unit was very loud. A pity there were not full curtains as the drape by the balcony did not completely cover the window and the room was very light when you were trying to sleep at night. It would have been good to have a microwave in the unit, as this is why I booked the hotel. I had to eat out all of the time. Silly to have all of the cutlery and crockery when there was only tea and coffee facilities.

We enjoyed our stay. I suggest the air conditioner be put away from the dinning table. The staff was helpful. We enjoyed James and Terrace the shuttle drivers. They were very friendly and hospitable.

Loved my vacation. Luana waikiki made my experience very comfortable. The hotel is close to everything in Waikiki. The staff is super friendly and polite. That meant a lot to me.
