“Ko Olina Beach Villas Resort - Great”
Wonderful area, great accommodations. We booked a 2 bedroom villa, when we arrived they put us in a 3 bedroom. Our only complaint was that we were on the second floor overlooking the parking. Technically we could see the ocean, but a higher pool/ocean view room would have been better. The villas are very high end and plenty of room, we really enjoyed the lanai in the morning and evenings. The kitchen was fully stocked with all necessities. The Ko Olina area is a nice change from Waikiki, it’s more low key and not as busy. If we were going back to Oahu we would stay here again.
“Exceptional !!!”
When doing extensive research on our Hawaii trip I stumbled upon The Ko Olina Beach Villas on Youtube. I was immediately drawn to the design and beauty of this property! I cannot emphasize enough how amazing this property is. My wife/family have always stayed in Marriott hotels when traveling, including Marriott Villas. This property was better! The rooms are very high quality villas. Nothing cheap- nothing! We stayed in unit 604 which was right in the center over looking the pool. Great ocean view! The lagoons were extremely safe for kids and the snorkeling was great! The security is great too. Each elevator serves only two villas on each floor. Never a wait and they are located right where you park for your unit! The kitchen was so fantastic that my 16 year old son volunteered to cook!!! Each lenai has retracting doors that give a very open feeling into the kitchen and dining area. If your a bit warm, just hit the remote and a screen desends from the ceiling shading the room! The gardens on the property, especially by the pools, include ponds with Koi fish and lush tropical plants. Each morning the staff are out cleaning everything and making sure everything is immaculate. The staff is awesome, very very friendly and the maintenance answered our call to replace a light bulb in a few minutes! Maid service every day. Plasma T.V.'s in every room. The kids loved the place!!! It is also quiet up in Ko Olina. We are so very glad we did not stay in Waikiki!!! I give it 7 stars!!!
“Ko Olina at it's best!!!!”
The beach villas are incredible. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has EVERYTHING you could possibly need. The views are beautiful and the location to the beach and pools is the BEST. The only small complaint we had was the parking....our spot assigned was in the complete other building and made for a long walk carrying groceries and everything else we bought through the lobby, past the pool and up and down 2 elevators to get back to our room. Guest parking is also a pain if you have more than 1 car w/ 2 families staying at the condo. The hotel was not full in the least so you would think there would be a much more convenient way of handling the parking. The vacation itself was fantastic and the price was GREAT. The kids loved ALL of the pools and the beach is the best around. The fish feedings every morning were a HUGE hit with the kids. The beach is unmatched....clean, quiet, and just perfect. We definitely made ourselves right at home and can't wait to go back VERY soon. Hope the prices stay reasonable even after the Disney resort is complete.
“Excellent Property”
This is a beautiful property! The condo is stunning! We loved the lanai with the sliding doors/glass wall that opened fully. The condo was of the highest quality-from the kitchen to the bathrooms. Our place looked just like the pictures-only nicer. Each elevator accesses just 2 condos per floor-so it feels like you pretty much have the place to yourself. We loved the whole property. The pools and grounds were beautifully maintained daily. The lagoon was probably one of the nicest beaches on the island. (And we got around the whole island). The kids liked the gentle waves with no rocks to deal with. Dad and the bigger kids enjoyed snorkeling in the lagoon as well. We saw as many turtles in the lagoon daily as we saw on the snorkeling excursion we took!! There is a decent selection of nice places to eat and shop in Kapolei just 5 minutes away. We ate twice at the hotel to the south as well-which was really nice. The staff was very friendly-especially Beau at the front desk and the concierge staff. While Ko Olina is not in Waikiki, we really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Beach Villas. It never felt crowded at all. The drive was not a problem, just be prepared to deal with a bit of traffic if you drive into Honolulu. Free parking and internet access (which cost $25 and $15 per day in Waikiki) more than offsets the expense of a rental car, and you have the opportunity to see more of Oahu with a car to drive. This place is a real find!
“Wonderful place for families”
Beautiful privately owned "villas" (condos) with concierge, two pools and great ocean lagoon. All villas have 2 or 3 bedrooms so perfect choice for families.
“Wonderful Time in Ko Olina”
We were very happy with our stay at the Ko Olina Beach Villas Resort! This is a wonderful, well-maintined property. We have young children and they loved the pool, especially the 1-ft sand pool, and the nearby lagoon. We enjoyed the convenience of having a full kitchen and washer/dryer in-unit. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, I highly recommend this resort.
“Perfect location to relax and get away from the crowd.”
The 2 bedroom, 2 bath with balcony and partial ocean view was excellent. It met our needs; great kitchen with high-tech appliances. Wonderful view. Very clean and well kept. We were able to walk to the to the other hotels and even the marina. Staff provided great recommendations. Pool was very nice with a couple of hot tubs. Also BBQ grills were available around the pool area. The only issues we encountered was the gym being closed due to management dispute as well as the pool bar only being opened for 2 hours a day - but sometimes they would not open it at all.
“Great leeward side condo”
Great family place. Not many restaurants around, but you have a full kitchen and Costco and Safeway are but 2 miles away. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, with good access to freeways for Northbeach, this is great. Beach at hotel was very nice with lots of turtles and sea life to see.
“I DIDN"T WANT TO LEAVE!!!!”
Staff very friendly,, Grounds are extremely beautiful and well maintained. Private lagoons are easily accessible and gorgeous. Villas are all privately owned and are priced at well over a million dollars. Restaurants in the area are all excellent. Golf course right across the street. Very posh, high end area. About 20 miles from downtown Honolulu,,but well worth the drive. It is well worth the money, perfect for the family and with that million dollar view of the pacific ocean it was very hard to leave.
“A great place for a family to relax together.”
The hotel setting is actually a development of private condominiums. There are beautifully landscaped gardens and several pools and hot tubs that are great for kids and adults. Water is about 3 feet deep. Just outside the resort is a public beach with 3 man made coves ideal for ocean swimming. Despite it's being publicly owned there are no crowds, easy access, and beautiful sand and ocean views. The staff was very attentive and helpful.
