“Best of the Best”
I like this hotel very much, that is why I return to it every year, couldnt wish for a nicer friendlier place.
“A great place to stay in Waikiki”
This is the 4th time we have stayed here. The location is great, and the service is wonderful. The $ 25.00 a day parking fee is the only downside, but you do have unlimited in and out services. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. You will not be disappointed.
“Good Location but we will look for somewhere next trip.”
The hotel have a good price for the location. It was clean but it needs a major up grade. It is showing its age. Service was good but I have problems connecting to the internet. Needed to call the internet provider to get corrected. The bar was only open when they wanted to be.
“you get what you pay for”
We opted to stay at the Imperial due to its proximity to the Halekulani (for a wedding). It was cheaper than the Outrigger Reef (about half as much), but you get what you pay for. Overall, it was fine since we didn't stay in our room very much. But the pull-down bed and the carpet just felt really dirty. The other lame amenity was the mandatory valet parking at a fixed rate per night. It would've been nice to know that valet parking was not included in our rate.
“Disappointing and overpriced”
The hallways and room exhibited a foul odor (mold?). There appeared to be lots of deferred maintenance items in the rooms and the furniture/decor of hotel room was generally outdated and didn't feel clean. One of the worst parts was that the shower drained very, very slowly and I was standing in about an inch of water by the end of the shower (with water pressure set low to begin with). In addition, there was visible mold/organic growth in the shower grout. Laundry facilities and ice/vending machines were difficult to find (not well marked), had to go to the second floor and through the parking garage to get to them. That being said, the hotel has enormous potential. I was in a corner suite with a kitchenette. Plus, location was very good (in upscale shopping area). Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless/until extensive renovations have been accomplished. I have stayed in several hotels in the area that offer much better accommodations at a lower cost.
