“Very nice hotel”
Great location- central Waikiki and directly across from the beach. The pool is also very nice. The hotel has folding beach chairs you can borrow (pick them up by the pool). Two car rental agencies on-site makes day trips very convenient.
“Coming back next month!”
Our Oahu visit was back in Aug 2009 - 5 nites here at the Hyatt and my entire family and I were extremely satisfied, especially the view from the 39th floor of our Deluxe Oceanfront room! Rooms were clean! Location was PERFECT! Hotel hospitality was great! There's a gym! We freaked out, however when we were trying to park our van in the garage - it didn't make clearance! But Valet said, "NO PROBLEM! We'll park it at the loading dock for you guys. And remember you have in/out priveleges! :)" One thing I didn't expect was to hear the noise from the 39th floor? It wasn't too bad though. What can I expect if I'm staying on the Waikiki strip? What I didn't like was that there were only 2 small jacuzzis for such a large hotel? and one of them was broken! :( Pool was extremely small, but hey, who needs it when you've got the ocean just steps away! We loved it here, which is we're staying here again at the Hyatt next month!
“Excellent choice”
Excellent hotel to stay at. We were there for 1 week and wanted to stay longer. Staff is very freindly and helpful. The fitness center is one of the best I have seen. 6 treadmills, 6 elipticals, Life fitness weight machines, Bosu balls, towels and very clean (no extra charge to use.) The location is right in the center of everything. Any fast food or restaurant is within walking distance. A grocery store is 2 blocks away. The beach is across the street. The rooms are quiet and well insulated from your neighbors. We have tried some other hotels in the past, but the Hyatt Regency is the best and most comfortable hotel we have stayed at. We will definately go back.
“Everything is so good except the wait time for the elevator someti mes can up to 15 mins.”
Excellent service! Great breakfast.
“Gotta Stay There”
Thumbs up to this hotel - great place to relax - right in the heart of Waikiki - convinient - comfotable rooms - gorgeous views - great service - right across Waikiki Beach - close to tourist attractions - the zoo, kapiolani park, the aquarium and more - shops galore in the hotel and outside more shopping - food galore close by - city lights at night and music of all kinds, greatest spa - this hotel is a must when you come to Hawaii
“Everything is good except...”
Everything is good except we cannot find the elevator to pull luggage from ground floor to the lobby. There is an escalator but cannot find the evaluator. For first-time visitor like us, it would be helpful if there are BIG SIGN to show us how to get stuff from ground floor to the lobby. Thanks!
“Very Nice Place”
We spent five nights here leaving to go back home on Christmas day. The hotel is very, very nice, and extremely well located. Waikiki Beach is directly out the front door. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. It can be 100% automated, if desired, using any one of the several machines located in the lobby. The room was spacious, well organized, clean, in near new condition. Quiet. No noise from surrounding rooms or even the ice machine which was located nearby. Housekeeping was great. My only complaints about the hotel were the $10 per day charge for internet wifi service, $3 per day charge for the in-room safe, and the confusion with the mini bar. I have been around mini bars enough to know not to mess with them. But when the front desk told me the coffee (a coffee maker was provided, but no coffee or filters) was in the mini bar, curiosity got the best of me. I had already been down to the convenience store to buy my own coffee and filters. Having opened the mini bar door and touched a few of the items sets of a sensor that brought the mini bar guy up there a couple of days later, because it indicated we were out of coffee. But we had not used anything from the mini bar. And we were not charged for anything. And finally, the $3 per day charge for the in-room safe I thought was a bit much. They have always been free of charge in other hotels. I paid for the safe but did not take the internet service. Both decisions probably made our stay happier.
“Can't wait to go back!”
This is a top-flight hotel with modern amenities. It was a fabulous location across the street from the beach, with a village of shops, coffee houses and sushi cafes on the ground floor.Poolside bar was great so we watched the sunset over the ocean while sipping a mai-tai in the jacuzzi! It doesn't get any better than this. All the service staff was terrific. A famous potential presidential candidate was staying there and we met him, go Obama.
“Very Happ”
Great location, right across the street from the beach by the Duke Statue. Bar by the pool with a great view. They have live music every night. I will definitly stay there again.
