Across from Kuhio Beach, a calm breakwater section of Waikiki Beach, the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa is home to 60 shops surrounding an open-air atrium.
A fine-dining restaurant specializes in wood-grilled steaks and a modern restaurant serves dishes from the Pacific Rim.
Leisure options include a 10,000-square-foot health spa (surcharge) and a large outdoor splash pool with adjacent bar and live Hawaiian music each evening. A supervised children's program is offered seasonally (surcharge).
A 24-hour business center provides high-speed Internet access, printing, faxing, and copying (surcharges), and wireless Internet access is available in the atrium (surcharge).
The Hyatt's 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space includes a ballroom for 1,000 guests.

Divided between two 40-story towers connected by an open-air atrium, the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach's 1,230 guestrooms offer furnished lanais. All rooms include Hyatt's signature Grand Bed: Sealy Posturepedic mattress; 250-thread-count triple sheeting; down blankets; double down-surround pillows.
Amenities include wireless Internet access (surcharge), refrigerators, coffeemakers, and laptop-compatible safes. 32-inch flat-screen TVs offer premium channels, and iHome Alarm/Radios. Bathrooms have granite countertops, handheld showers, bathrobes, and Portico toiletries.

Japengo - Hand-rolled Japanese sushi and South Korean Short Rib Kalbi are specialties of the house. Guests dine at communal tables, the sushi bar, or in private dining rooms. Open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday. Includes a lounge.
SHOR American Seafood Grill - Open for breakfast and dinner.
SWIM - Poolside bar serving lunch and cocktails. Open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM. Happy hour between 3 PM and 6 PM.
Recreation
Supervised children's activities are available seasonally in the Camp Hyatt program (surcharge).
Across the street, Kuhio Beach is a stretch of sand with a breakwater, creating calm swimming conditions. Rentals are available for water activities such as snorkeling, boogie boarding, catamaran sailing, and outrigger canoeing.
Five blocks away, Kapiolani Park is home to tennis courts, sports fields, an archery range, the Honolulu Zoo, and the Waikiki Aquarium.
Ala Wai Golf Course, within a half-mile of the hotel, has an 18-hole course, driving range, and pro shop.

“Wonderful Hotel”
This is a wonderful hotel to stay at. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location in Waikiki. Just cross the street and your on the beach.

Simply the Best
“Great Location for food, shopping and surfing!”
Even though the hotel was under renovation for the pool. There was no need to worry. The beach was right across the street, and we had access to another hotel's pool. The international market place was so very close and lots of places to eat! I especially loved a place called Blazzin Steaks right across the street from the hotel. Great prices for some yummy local food!

We stayed at the Hyatt for 2 weeks beginning June 28. I can't say enough good things about our stay! We told the staff at check in that we stayed here on our honeymoon 28 yrs ago, which was when the hotel was pretty new. They upgraded us to an ocean view. The view was wonderful! The room was always spic and span, always quiet, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pool terrace and nightly entertainment was below us, but was never a problem. We enjoyed listening to the music from our lanai when we chose to, but it was never too noisy when we closed our door. We also enjoyed watching several weddings on the terrace below. The staff was always very helpful, friendly and quick to respond. We had the complimentary breakfast each morning, and were never bored with the food. It was always fresh, super clean, and always some variety. We ate every day for the entire stay and never had to repeat what we ate unless we wanted to. The omlet guy was a hoot! I sure would love to have the recipe for the coconut lemon bars! Really tasty. The hotel shops were really nice and came in handy for picking up something in a hurry. We stayed at another hotel that was right on the beach 3 years ago, and we decided we will return to the Hyatt on our next visit. It was less costly, and really nicer.

From the time we checked in until we checked out, the service was great! The Hyatt is a very nice hotel. They upgraded our rooms from city view to partial ocean view which was great! Hotel staff was very friendly. We had a rental car and found the valet service to be excellent. The rooms were nice and clean, and were very spacious. The beds were very comfortable, too. The view from the 19th floor was great. Hyatt is right across the street from Waikiki Beach and the hotel provides beach towels and chairs for you to take to the beach which was a pleasant surprise. There is an Expedia desk right beside the front desk so it's easy to schedule tours while you are there. International Market is only a few blocks away. Lots of things to see and do! Would definitely stay here again!

“Pure Paradise”
Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Large nicely decorated room with comfy bed. The ocean view from the Diamond Head tower is jaw dropping. Nice selection of delicious food for breakfast. Many shops and restaurants within short walking distance. Stayed 5 nights but should have stayed for 7 nights. Loved it!!!
