“Would Happily Return”

This hotel is perfect for anyone on a budget. It's perfectly nice, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Bring earplugs as pigeons like to coo loudly in the morning, and in case someone is loud next door. Tends to be very quiet, though. No complaints. Leave a tip for the housekeepers - they generally get shafted (I used to be one). The beach is not really 2 blocks away - it's two block down, and about 3-4 blocks to the left. You have to walk past all the hotels to get there, unless you sneak through other hotels. Keep that in mind, if you want very quick access to the beach. That was the only drawback.

“Clean and roomy, decent for the price”

Good location, near everything. Comfortable and clean. Could use some newer furniture but overall satisfied. Friendly staff.

“clean place to eat and sleep”

wasn't sure what to expect the reviews didn't sound so good for this place , so i was relieved when we got there sure its an old place but it was very clean. the room we had ,had been redone (new flooring ,fridge, curtains) the a/c went and the owner put a new one in right away. The only beef i had with the place is that there was no pool (no biggy) . Our overall stay here was good. Would i stay again? Well if they got a pool i would.

“If the price matter”

If you don t have too much money and you desperately want to take a vacation to Honolulu, this place is what you are looking for. But do not expect too much. You only have the minimum here. The kitchenette is the perfect way to save a few dollars, if you don,t mind to eat the same thing over the course of your trip.

“Holiday Surf”

Location: Ala Wai Bvld is VERY noisy at all times of day and night, however hotel in great location for access to activities and beach. Room: Basic, but spacious and clean. My room was freshly painted, alhtough bathroom could do with some updating.. Overall rating for a 2 star - perfectly adequate

“Stuck in the 50's”

When I pulled up to this hotel, I thought it was a student dorm, it looked pretty run down for a hotel. Everything was old, walls had cracks; since I only slept there and stored my things, it was satisfactory, but wouldn't take a companion there on holiday.
