Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa - Honolulu Hotels

Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa

The Moana Surfrider was absolutely wonderful! It was in an excellent location (close to shopping, restaurants, etc.), the rooms were clean and air conditioned and the staff was super friendly! We were there on our honeymoon and were sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to welcome us. I would go back to the Moana in a heartbeat! The one thing we found irritating was that guests were allowed to go down to the pool at 7am and reserve the chairs around the pool. People would be gone for hours but leave their belongings on the chairs so that no one else could use them.

"Beautiful hotel on the beach!"
More than I had expected! Lovely! We were greeted with leis and a huge friendly smile. Property is gorgeous. They upgraded our room when discovered we were celebrating our anniversary and sent up a bottle of champagne. The concierge was extremely helpful and friendly! It is connected to sister hotel next door and you are able to use all the facilities there as well. We got an amazing deal booking our hotel with flight, or we would have never stayed here. It made our stay in Hawaii even more special.

"Beautiful hotel walk to beach"
Very clean and beautiful views. The restaurant was absolutely delicious and the entertainment at the bar was an added bonus. Everyone was nice and we did not have any problems. Walk to beach is about a block away. The pool was small, and we didn't check out the gym. I would stay here again!

"Return, return, return!"
We have been to Hawaii 13 times. We have stayed at many different oceanfront hotels on Waikiki Beach. Several years ago we discovered the Ilikai and have continued to return there time after time. The staff has always accommodated us with excellent rooms and free upgrades whenever possible.

"A holiday to remember."
What an amazing holiday. My wife and I checked in 19 March 2015. We were there for 8 wonderful nights for our Honeymoon. We did not receive anything special for the occasion from the hotel ( e.g wine or chocolates or flowers ) but I sense it may have been the agency we booked with, that's okay. Staff were there always when needed. Gym was convenient for me to use every day. We really had nothing to complain about, we spent most of our days out doors.

Great place to stay; away from the craziness, but only 10-15 minute walk to shopping and restaurants in Waikiki. A few steps from the beach. Trolleys and public transportation close by if you don't have a car (valet parking is very expensive).

"Very clean+amazing staff!"
I have done a LOT of research on hotels in Waikiki, and there were several factors that affected my final decision to choose Hyatt Regency. The most important one was the recent renovation of the guestrooms. I am very particular about cleanliness in the hotel rooms and it was very important to me to sleep in a fresh room. Since I put in a request to be placed in a renovated room, I was able to enjoy this during my stay in Hawaii. The second pleasant thing about Hyatt Regency was the considerate and really kind staff. When I called the front desk to put in some requests, I mentioned that it was going to be my birthday during my stay. And at check in, I was told they'd send a bottle of champagne for me. I said "no, thank you" because I don't drink. Oh, well. But then on the actual day of my birthday, I got an amazing surprise from Dan and the other folks that take care of Gold Passport members. Dan, Emily and Jesse were very quick to respond to my texts (!) when I asked where I could find a computer. I stayed in the Ewa tower, very close to the elevators. Which kind of worried me at first because of the reviews about the noise near elevators. But I did not hear ANY noise on any of the six nights I stayed in Hyatt. Eleanor from housekeeping was very very meticulous and everything was squeaky clean (just the way I like it) and made sure I had plenty of the bathroom amenities (shampoo, lotion from the spa were amazing and smell great). Overall, 5 stars for sure!

The Korean restaurant was excellent. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping was great. The king size bed was very comfy. Just a block from the main Waikiki drag and beach. I would absolutely stay here again
