“Great Sleep”

The hotel was great and the staff were very helpful. Didn't care for the valet only parking as I saw them try and drive a manual transmission vehicle of and older nature with a great deal of trouble. Other than that the room was great and the Oceanside view was wonderful.

“Our second time staying at this hotel...great hotel...”

This was our second time staying at the Hilton Waikiki Hotel. We love the location and that is only a block or two away from the main strip and the beach...so less noisy. The staff are friendly and helpful but the service at the front desk was a little slow checking in and out. Could be just the timing. One of our lamp lights didnt work but we didnt bother asking them to look into it as there were plently of other lights and lamps in the room. Dont look under the bed! We were looking for my sons sock and we made the mistake of looking under the bed...we saw ( no, we didnt touch) socks, and what looked like someones underwear under the bed....no not ours. We didnt bother checking again under the bed for the rest of our stay so it might have been cleaned after. We would stay at this hotel again if we go back to Honolulu.

“Good Hotel in Paradise”

The Hilton was a great hotel for my boyfriend and I. It was a good value - not as outrageously expensive as those hotels right on the water and we certainly didn't mind the two block walk to the beach. The hotel was clean and welcoming. I would certainly stay again.

“Wonderful stay - we'll definitely be going back again!”

When we checked in, we were immediately upgraded to an ocean view room, which was amazing! The hotel is beautiful and clean and the room was so nice. The bed was so comfortable, we slept great! And the restaurant, Mac 24/7, in the hotel has delicious food and great service. Hotel's location is great, close to Waikiki beach without being right on it where all the noise is. We had a great time celebrating our anniversary. We will definitely visit again.

“Highly Recommend”

“Not our favorite Hotel in Waikiki.”

We now see what other reviews stated about being dropped off in the alley. Check in staff were unaware of major activities at other local. Hilton sites.We loved the pool and service from our favorie bar tender Miles! Great Coladas and Skinny Margeritas. Overall rooms were nice but only the one restaurant just average food selection but unattentive staff. Our family will come again to visit Miles but unlikly stay at this hotel again.

Mac 24/7 Restaurant at Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel is very dirty and the food is terrible.

Area recommendations

Beach strip is nice, but is dead at midnight. We chose to rent a Harley and tour the island ourselves.

“Awesome Hotel!!”

Hilton Waikiki Beach is an awesome hotel. It's so clean, quiet, safe and convenient for everything. If you are going on a tour, the tour buses pick you up there. You are literally two blocks away from the Waikiki Beach. The hotel staff is so nice, friendly and very helpful with directions and suggestions of Waikiki. The trolleys and the buses are literally outside the hotel. All the conveniences of an awesome vacation are right here at this hotel. You cannot go wrong. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Waikiki is a great city to explore. I suggest to go on a tour to explore the other parts of Hawaii.

“Had higher hopes”

This was our fifth visit to Waikiki, and the first time we stayed at a hotel that was rated higher than 3.9 on the Expedia Traveller Opinion (I really do value your opinions and often make choices based on the reviews). The Hilton Waikiki Beach (formerly Hilton Prince Kuhio) let us down in a number of respects. I'll preface this with the fact that we have looked at rooms in many other highly rated Waikiki hotels and the Hilton does not stack up on the following fronts. The reception and service as a whole was poor. I felt like an inconvenience to the hotel staff (this can be said for much of Waikiki). Missed housekeeping services more than once in 7 days (the hotels staff immediate response was "Well, did you have you do not disturb sign up?". My advice: don't assume it is a guest error in a 4 star hotel.) The patios are far too small to be useful. Ice machines were several floor away and one broke. The room itself was small but tastefully appointed, no free wifi in the room though it is available in the lobby and pool. On the upside, the food in the overpriced restaurant was tasty and the happy hour signature drinks should not be missed (especially the peach and herb). Myles the pool bartender, a sales manger on site surveying the lobby and one of the lobby bartenders offered exceptional service. But inconsistency doesn't win friends in my book. Also the 5 elevators were very fast. I encourage you to rethink your stay at the Hilton Waikiki. Look at the Marriott Wakiki Beach
