“Just Got Back!”
The Aulani is on a huge property shared with other hotels and Paradise Cove as well so if you drive it can be tricky. No signs to tell you that you have reached the Aulani, just marked Ko'Olina at entrance. The hotel is still new and very well maintained. There are daily schedules provided to tell you each day's events. If you miss a Meet n Greet with a character, don't worry they have them everyday. The restaurants are very overpriced, but the ABC store saved our trip. You can walk to the market across from the property where you will find good affordable food. The breakfast buffet at the Makahiki was very worthwhile. Good food and this is your only chance to spend quality time with Disney characters. Check your schedule for Uncle's Hui, this is free and very fun. It has great crafts, a variety show and dance party with characters. A lot went into this production. The only thing that would have made things more exciting for my young daughter would have been some Disney Princesses. The outdoor movie is really great if you catch one you like, only on Tues. & Fri. nights. This resort is best for tweens or children who can be without their parents. My daughter was too young to take advantage of many activities, like Auntie's Beach house since parents can not stay. But overall it was a very pleasant experience. Great pool and private beach. Definitely recommend for families.
“An amazing resort for everyone, not just families”
This resort was amazing. We were greeted with leis and upon checkin given a free room upgrade to a partial ocean view which was incredible. Even though this hotel is a Disney resort, you have to look to find the Disney touches. They do have character photos through out each day but only in one area of the resort and it's not forced on you. Depending on what type of experience you are wanting, you can experience as much or as little of Disney as you want. Whether you are traveling with a family or not this resort has plenty of things to offer including free entertainment at night - a luau show with out the dinner, movies under the stars, musicians etc. The resort has several pools and hot tubs along with a water playground, 2 water slides and a lazy river. For an additional fee you can pet/feed stingrays or snorkel with fish. When you check in each day at the pool to get your pool bracelet and towels, you can also check out a free life jacket for children but they have a limited amount so get one early in the day. The resort has several restaurants including a snack store and ice cream/snow cone shop. Across the street there is a market (by ABC) that has made to order items along with already made cold and hot items and most groceries you would need. There are also a couple of other restaurants and an ice cream shop. At the resort you can order items to go at One Paddle Two Paddle or at the bar and take the meal to eat anywhere on the resort including to the shows at night.

Very nice hotel, the food and beverages were very expensive.
“Loved Aulani, GREAT hotel, worth 5-stars.”
Disney's attention to detail blew me away. It was not kiddie-like, it was sophisticated. The grounds, lobby, kids lobby, common rooms, lazy river, slides, hot tubs, and pool were wonderful. The interactive game the kids play was totally cool. The staff was always friendly, from the valet, to housekeeping, to front desk. There was so much to do and see on the property and the beach, we found ourselves hurrying around Oahu to get back to Aulani.
“Wonderful Hotel”
We absolutely loved this hotel. It was beautiful! You really do not need to leave to seek other entertainment. It has 3 or 4 pools, water slides, lazy river, snorkeling and its own beach area. It is a hotel for all ages. The beach area was beautiful, clean and only used by persons staying in the Disney resort. They had a Disney Character restaurant but it was booked for our whole stay, so definitely book that before you arrive. There are a few things I would like to see different. The restaurants are very expensive. We ate there once a day and sought out other restaurants in the area. I would have also liked to have seen more servers around the pool and beach area.
“Aulani”
Great vaca! All you need is there at the resort...except for food. The restaurants there are fantastic, but be prepared to pay. There is a to go place, One Paddle, Two Paddle, which for a resort offers good food for fair price. The car rental is a bit pricey, but again, all you need is there at the resort. Aunty's (daycare) is very impressive. No wonder kids don't want to leave. This resort is ideal for toddlers and up. Extremely friendly staff. Keep the lei on and you'll get the extra attn. Housecleaning was a lil short on the service. Had to call them for service.Still 5 stars!
“They've Thought Of Everything”
Aulani was a fantastic experience for both adults and kids. Although a little expensive, the facilities provided were superb. The rooms were adequate size for 2 adults and 2 kids. There was such a variety of activities for the kids throughout the day, not just with Disney themes but also strong Hawaiian themes. All the hotel staff were super friendly. The spa experience was memorable, albeit expensive. We, as a family of 4, would go back in a flash.
“AULANI!!”
The room was beautiful, we took the standard view option and could still see the ocean from our balcony. The staff was over the top friendly, they greated us on arrival with leis, walked us to the front desk, and made sure we had fresh pineapple water in hand. The pools were each unique and the lazy river was one of the most relaxing/fun thing to do with the water slide that started it. The volcano slide was my boyfriend's favorite. Whenever the need to sit on the beach arose, you simply walked from the pools to the ocean. The staff was never far, offering free umbrellas and beach games to play. The snorkeling in the cove was amazing! The snorkeling at the rainbow reef was $20 for a day or $40 for a length of stay pass. Every time we snorkeled there we saw something else, this is a must!! The only thing that was a little pricey was the parking. It is $35/night whether you valet or self park, when we go back, we probably will not rent a car because of it. Alamo rent a car is located at the hotel so if you do decide you need a car, they have them there! Other than that, this hotel was worth every penny and we will be going back! Beware of the sticker shock of the buffet, the buffet was $100 for the two of us. The bars by the pool have reasonably priced food that was AMAZING!
“Fun for all at Aulani.”
Our stay at Aulani was amazing! We really enjoyed the daily events the resort had to offer...from Yoga in the morning for mom, to sailing together with the entire family right off the beach. There is plenty to do at the hotel and we enjoyed days relaxing on the beach, lounging on the lazy river, slipping down the waterslides, dancing with Disney characters by the pool, and eating at all the restaurants on site. There's something to do for everyone - whether you travel with kids or just the adults that still love the Disney magic. The staff was friendly and always available; they met every need. We booked our hiking trip and luau right in the hotel and we had a hotel representative with us to enhance the experience.
“MLK weekend at Aulani”
Pros: all of the staff are very friendly and helpful, 5 stars! we asked for a microwave in our room and it was quickly brought up within 15 min of check-in, for no charge and came with paper plates, bowls, plastic utensils and a roll of paper towels! . in room mini fridge- very convenient to hold our bottled water we bought at target before checking in, along with some milk for cereal and other snacks. our son was happy and comfortable on the sofa bed, he has had uncomfortable ones at other hotels but he really liked this one. the food quality at One Paddle, Two Paddle (quick service at pool) was pretty good, a little pricey. The pools, slides are nice and fun, The jacuzzis are very nice, but lots of kids in them with snorkels! beach is tranquil, sandy, great for little ones, surprised to see a turtle while kayaking. pools open later, great for my son :) The valet people were very quick and helpful, same price as self park, worth the $1 tip! cons: the staff at beach rentals did not help us get kayak in to shore when done, also you must stay in the lagoon which is not that large and is boring after about 10 minutes!! The lagoon is ok to snorkel in, the visibility is not good from lots of sand being stirred up, but if you swim out to the rocky areas, there were a good variety of fish and few friendly turtles parking fee per night is too much! no movies on demand in room! no Pizza for kids?! our fridge wouldnt stay cold
