“An excellent stay”
I spent a week at this hotel in a "partial ocean view" room. My feelings are extremely positive. The location is excellent, directly across the road from the beach. Trolley buses stop right outside and TheBus runs a block over on Kuhio. Shopping, restaurants and bars are right nearby. The view from the room was excellent - looking right down the beach toward Diamond Head. Pity it didn't have a balcony. A "full ocean view room" on the front of the building would have an even wider view with its own balcony for a few extra dollars. The air-conditioned room itself was extremely comfortable with full maid service daily. Everything worked fine. The small refrigerator was useful. Free wireless internet is available in the quiet lobby mezzanine area. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is apparently under renovation but this was not a problem. There is no pool, restaurant or bar at the hotel. Once or twice the single lift was a little slow. In summary, I found this a comfortable, friendly, brilliantly located place to stay and good value for money. If you want a full resort style hotel with all the facilities on site then this is not the place for you. In my experience, Honolulu/Oahu is such a great place you will easily find everything you've come here for off-site anyway.
“Waikiki Beach!”
Older hotel, redoing and upgrading, construction only during the day. Perfect for travelers who are flexible and enjoy personal contact with staff. Location couldn't be better! My cousin and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Extensions for checkouts are easily obtained, cheap, and you can leave whenever you want (for those 11pm flights back to reality - we checked out at 8pm). Lave and Trevor at the front desk were superb and very helpful. Breakfast was simple and all carbs, but an ABC store next door and McD's down the street were both open at 6am for a healthier protein breakfast. Hotel provided beach mats and beach towels - we crossed the street every morning to swim in the lagoon - ahhhh! What a delight! WiFi Internet worked, but only in lobby areas. Would definately return! Aloha!

“One of the best views for the price”
The Aqua Waikiki was comfortable, in the heart of Waikiki, and had a great view. Our room was a little small, the location more than made up for that.

I was very impressed with this hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the front desk staff was extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

i would recommend this hotel, its infront of the beach, next to coach store, quilksilver , its one of the best locations, all the high end shop are five minutes walking, theirs an grocery store right next to the hotel so you could buy snack, etc. i was afraid this hotel was going to be crappy but it was okay, the elevator its old, the furnishing are updated but i had no problems with the room it was comfortable, not noisy, everything worked fine, i only used the room to sleep bc i was gone all day, i would stay here again !! to go to the beach u take the elevator to the lobby , walk out the lobby ,cross a tiny one way street and waikiki its there,.. very afortable no problems !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Awesome”
The room was a bit smaller than what we expected size wise, but we did not plan to spend much time in the room so it served its purpose very well. View from the balcony was not to great but we were in the back of the hotel so that was expected. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.
“Such a fun experience!”
This hotel was so cute and old classic looking that I would definitely return someday! The staff was friendly and always very welcoming anytime my friends and I arrived or was leaving to go to activities. The TV is small and ancient but a good picture. You can tell they put most of the money into the bathroom (gorgeous by the way!) Had a two twin bed room available for my sister and I which was great. The toilet ran almost every 30seconds, but it wasn't that bad. Had a nice small fridge to stock any food items (bananas, leftovers, ect.) Had a back balcony that faced a building.. BUUUT.. the balcony outside the front door was an awesome view of the strip and beach. Overall... I loved this hotel, and I will be returning someday!! Thanks Waikiki Beachside Hotel!! PS- If you are not a fan of "old-looking" classic type styles.. you may not like this hotel.
“I will be back”
Hotel with a great location, good service, although it needs to upgrade furniture. It does not have a pool, but you do not need it if you have the Pacific ocean crossing the street, near restaurants with different levels of prices, which is convenient for low budgets
