I stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Old Town Alexandria for three nights and was very pleased with everything. The hotel is just a few blocks from the Metro station which was very convenient for getting around. It is located just one block from King Street, which is where most of the restaurants and shops are located in Alexandria. The room was large and comfortable and the staff was pleasant and helpful. There is a complementary breakfast every morning which has hot and cold dishes, fruit and pastries, etc. I think the breakfast was above average. Overall, the hotel was a very good value.

Close to King St. Metro stop from airport. Room was great, we have stayed at Residence before always nice 2 blocks off King St. the center of Old Town Alexandria, at far west end Front desk helped us find a way to cook a pizza even though none in our room We were there for fun, but many large businesses close by

“Family Friendly- Great Stay”

Stayed a week with our 2 daughters (15 & 12) to do sightseeing/attractions in D.C. Very pleased with all aspects from check-in, daily breakfasts, location and pleasant staff. The staff were very helpful regarding local places for quick meal while out, offering shuttle to Metro stop and holding our luggage after check-out until we needed to get to airport. Have already recommended this hotel to family & friends. Short walk to Metro made it very convenient to get around. Everyone found plenty to eat with variety of selections for breakfast. We even took advantage of light fare offered for dinner during our stay.Girls enjoyed the pool after long days of walking around DC. Spacious 2 bedroom suite with all the conveniences of home made our stay here very enjoyable. Would plan on returning to this hotel again on next visit. Thank you for a great vacation.

“The best place other than home”

I was quite impressed by the place. I got a room a little bit smaller than 2B/1B I am currently renting :) - full-size bedroom, with fully-equipped kitchen area (including utensils), and even a desk to place my laptop on. Breakfast was pretty good, and all tastes would be covered (they provide even take-out containers).

It was only a short distance away from the Metro Station and King Street. We were able to walk and enjoy the scenary. There were some nice restaurants nereby. The front desk staff were extremely nice and helpful. They answered all questions and called cabs for us. The complementary breakfast was also nice. You had a choice of cereal or a hot breakfast, (Eggs, Waffles etc.)
