The Residence Inn Marriott/Alexandria, VA was truly wonderful.....a real WOW!!!! The hotel staff were always professional, courteous and friendly and very accommodating. The hotel was clean, our room was terrific.......roomy/cozy/comfortable and clean! The daily complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious AND complimentary light dinners Mon-Thu as well were totally unexpected and amazing to have a hotel do something like that! Well worth the money........in a wonderful area........easy access to the airport and DC and their complimentary bus to/from Metro and local town attractions was super! “WILL stay there again!”
We travel quite a bit and this is one of the nicest hotels for the price that we've found. The complimentary breakfast is delicious--FRESH fruit, waffles, oatmeal, etc. The room was sparkly clean and modern and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. The Metro is an easy 5- minute walk, and there's plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Old City which we decided not to use because it looked pretty crowded. Plan to pay $18/day for parking.
“Excellent Choice”
This hotel is an excellent choice for anyone visiting the Washington DC area. Great rooms, clean and large. Quite. Wonderful breakfasts and the crowning point is a "light meal" and wine during the weekdays. Several evenings this was dinner for us. Close to the metro to go to DC, and Alexandria itself is worth exploring. Also, close to Mount Vernon.
“best hotel , excellent service”
The hotel was very clean , big rooms with kitchen and a sofa bed. Breakfast included and very very good , also a light meal with wine , beer or other beverages included and served from Monday to Thursday.Near from metro station and from King Road.Really to recommend.
“Impressed in DC”
The Residence Inn was very nice. Secure parking. Internet access. Room was very comfortable--had all the necessities--almost like home but on a smaller scale. Location was in a nice area of Alexandria. Would stay here again on return trips to the DC area. Visited over the 4th of July weekend--very nice.
“Great Stay”
I just got back from staying 3 nights at the Residence Inn in Old Town. I thought it was a great hotel and will definitely stay here again! The room was very comfortable and having the kitchen was extremely convenient. The bed, itself, was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel. The breakfast selections were varied and very good. I really can't think of anything that I would have changed for my whole stay!
“Very Nice Stay - Good Location”
Very nice hotel in up and coming area of Alexandria but very close and convenient to Old Town. Used van service and it was very dependable. Another nice feature is that the hotel has staff who will food shop for you. Wow. Good stay and would recommend.
