“Best B& B In Virginia - Wonderfully cozy and amazing AND historical and really charming”
We loved the carefully prepared meals (great menu changed seasonally!), the wonderful furnishings, the front porch, the pub and the bartender (Courtney!) Fredicksburg is truly a hidden jewel full history, fun people and atmosphere. We had a terrific evening in basement fountain patio area, listening to some solidly played jazz in a quint pub with the best bartender ever (Courtney!). Walking anywhere within two blocks takes you from colonial times through the civil war. There's enough to see and enjoy within half a mile that you'll need two days to get it done. Don't forget the Carl's ice cream fountain east of the Kenmore on Princess Anne - the line stretched around the block (we thought they were holding a benefit, but that just normal for Carls).
“Lovely B&B”
Great location, great food, lovely rooms (each has a decanter of sherry and glasses!). Would stay there again if we are in the area.
“Perfectly wonderful.”
We had a perfect time at the Kenwood. Comfortable room, gracious staff. Everything was wonderful. Totally comfortable mattress, good breakfast, beautiful and historic building. It is special, but not overly fussy. Relaxed and elegant at the same time. There is no question that we will stay at the Kenwood again. Great location, too. Just a couple of blocks from mid-downtown F'burg. We also enjoyed a nice concert in the pub downstairs of the Inn. It just couldn't have been a nicer time. Thank you to the hospitable people at the Kenwood Inn. We loved it.
“Will stay again”
The room was as expected for a B&B. Clean and neat. The location was perfect for walking in town and window shopping for my wife. The restaurant in the B&B was also great as we arrived at 4:30 rested a bit and had a great meal by 7:00. The full breakfast was quite a surprise and delicious. Worth the money at this time of the year!
“It was the location for our honeymoon and we will go back!”
This hotel is quaint, well cared for, and a historical gem.
