“Slightly disappointing”

On the plus side the inn is located in walking distance of the historic district and has parking. This is a big bonus as elsewhere parking is very limited. Also the main part of the inn is nicely furnished & comfortable. I was disappointed in the room/bathroom. We stayed in a "ground floor room". We had booked one of the rooms with a king bed, but were given one with a queen bed and were not informed of the change at check-in. Indeed we were not given a refund of the difference in the room rate. Bedroom had own heat/aircon unit which was useful. Bathroom needed some attention. Sink had a crack which had become stained. Bedroom was fitted with antique reproduction furniture. Steps to get up into the raised bed! (I found the bed was saggy & not very comfortable.) The "help yourself" breakfast was adequate (bagels, muffins, cake, cereal, fruit), but there was only one 2 slot toaster. Styrene cups/plates & plastic flat wear.

“STOP, DON"T BOOK”

The employees were very nice and helpful. It was clean. The lobby and the breakfast room are tastefully decorated. Old Fredricksburg is a quaint town with very nice people. But there are too many negatives about this hotel: the loud neighborhood at night, the lack of insulation, and the uneventful breakfast. We had very little choice due to the Jamboree in the area but if I had to choose again I may reconsider the Quality Inn. This B&B has so much potential but it's a shame that the company is not trying to improve these problems.
