“A Great Arlington (Rosslyn) Hotel”
I have stayed here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Hotel is one block from the Rosslyn Metro station.
“Great place to stay”
The hotel was very nice and the staff were helpful. The rooms were modern and well maintained. It is conveniently located next to a major subway station and there are several places within walking distance to eat if you do not want to eat in the hotel. It is a business hotel, as such, it isn't really kid friendly in that there is nothing for kids to do, such as a pool, which we could've used because of the heatwave.
“Beautiful rooms; great room service; restaurant was a little disappointing.”
near Metro
“A good place to stay on a Wash. DC visit”
The hotel is clean and modern and is very convenient to the Washington DC Metro subway. The old Orleans House Restaurant is gone (was demolished) so it is harder to find good restaurants within walking distance of the Hyatt. There are restaurants around but few locals have experience to recommend them.
“Good quality and location in beautifully renovated hotel.”
I stayed here with a friend a few years ago, and the hotel was under renovation, with a chaotic feeling. I chose the Hyatt Arlington this trip because of the great price on a single business traveler's room and was nicely surprised. Besides being upgraded to a king room, I found the hotel well remodeled, with pleasant atmosphere and very helpful staff. The bar area was pleasant for a light meal; I recommend the garden pizza, made with homemade dough. The dining room for breakfast was also nicely redone, with some good choices for light or heavier breakfast as desired. Highly recommend this hotel!
“Very Impressed”
I was really impressed by the property and the beautifully renovated room. I had low expectations because of the negative reviews here but obviously these problems had been more than sufficiently addressed. The room felt like it was brand new, and everything worked. The hotel is very conveniently located and I walked over to Georgetown for dinner. It's also right by the Roslyn bus and Metro stations, so a great hub for getting around. The front desk went out of their way to help me find a charger for my Blackberrry, I liked the place and would stay again.
“Good quality, service and location”
Room, bed and shower was a very good size. The room and bathroom was very modern and clean. Everyone was very friendly and willing to help. Location is 5 minute walk to subway and restaurants.
“Good Choice”
Got a great deal on this hotel when I booked in Nov 10 for June 11. Got this at 60% cheaper than equivalent hotels in D.C. The location is quiet, being mainly offices and condos but a no time did I feel unsafe in the early evening despite having my wife and daughter with me. In fact in DC itself was where you had to be alert for the usual city vagrats and weirdos. The metro stop is just beside the hotel. There are a number of eating places close by the hotel use google maps and you will find them. In particular I would recommend the Santa Fe Cafe as an alternative to the hotel breakfast. The hotel charges $20 per person for the buffet which was very good. The cafe has the usually fare for breakfast and some Mexican favourites. There breakfast burritos were superb. Don't go to the cafe for the ambiance or the great service just for the food and the prices...$15 for three for breakfast. The hotel itself had great front desk service and nice rooms. My only gripe was that the beds were a little on the small side. Would I go there again...definetly.
“Good place to stay”
Hotel rooms pleasant and clean, very friendly staff, close to metro, we did not use the restaurant so cannot comment on that.
“Hyatt Hotel Arlington - Best place in Washington DC”
The Hyatt Hotel, Arlington, Washington DC (on Wilson Blvd) is an extremely comfortable and conveniently placed hotel to explore the nation's capital. With the Roslyn Metro behind the hotel a few dollars can take you into the heart of the capital (once you can penetrate the instructions on how to buy a tickets, so factor in plenty of time to do this). The 5A Metro bus that runs just down the road from the metro, same side of the road (it's an exact money bus, no change given). You can pick up a free time table inside the Metro station. The taxi ride from the hotel to Dulles airport is expensive- so take the bus it only takes 40 minutes and on weekdays it only stops once (twice on Sats/Suns). The hotel staff were extremely friendly, very very polite and willing to do anything asked of them. I and my friends found the airline online check-in service (where you can print out your airline boarding pass) a real help. It is a free service provided by Hyatt Hotels. Taxi fares to the centre of the city are reasonable and what you would expect to pay in, say, London. I would use the hotel again should I go to Washington and would recommend it to others as well.
