“Conveniently located, GREAT neighborhood!”
This is a very nice hotel. I would highly recommend it for business or leisure. The neighborhood is lovely.
“Old Town Hotel but not Old Town prices”
Was just in town for the night for a baseball game. The hotel was easy to find, very convenient to have a grocery store across the street. Found street parking NO problem so do not pay the Valet unless you are uncomfortable with leaving your car on the street. The neighborhood is very safe however. Did have to drive into Old Town as it wasn't super close and the weather was still a little chilly but even that wasn't bad. The room was big, modern and clean - no complaints at all.
“I would definitely go back”
The hotel is attractive, clean and convenient to all the tourist attractions in Alexandria and nearby Washington, DC. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely return.
“Free Parking is Possible”
This Holiday Inn is quiet, clean and has a grocery store directly across street, Nice bar in lobby. We were able to take advantage of the on street parking which is free until 10am. My daughter works in Old Town and made us aware before we paid for it. Decent neighborhood. Only positives for this hotel. Noticed business people check--in while I was waiting. Staff were pleasant.
“A nice surprise.”
We used Expedia's 55% off special to find a room for one night of a business stay. We were delighted with the hotel and plan to go back if possible. The location is only a few blocks from old Town, and a couple of blocks from the river. The hotel was uncrowed, modern, and very clean. Thank you, Expedia.
“Good Hotel, Great Value”
Hotel was nice, The front desk and house keeping employees were extremely friendly. Our King room had a view of the courtyard and pool with a small balcony. Our room was well cleaned everyday. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, about 1 mile from King street. There are many small restaurants in the area. There is also a Giant grocery store located across the street. However, there was no fridge or microwave in our rooms, as some other reviews had said. If you need to catch the metro into DC, they have a free shuttle to Reagan Airport which will allow you to jump on the metro. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes from 5:30AM till 10:30AM. There is a per night parking charge for this hotel. The parking is actually in a garage under the hotel. They have a morning breakfast buffet each day that you will pay for, with your standard buffet type items: eggs, bacon, pancakes, sausage, fruit, cereal, etc.. Overall, it was a good place to stay, great value, and very convienient!

excellent hôtel, rapport qualité-prix performant. près de washington centre. service shuttle si vous n'avez pas de voiture( pour l'aéroport puis le centre en métro toutes les 30mn). Alexandria et très agréable et safe, part rapport au nord de la capitale. Le quartier historique est très sympa.Restaurant et bars cools.
“Wonderful stay”
We stayed in this hotel while attending a wedding. We were able to walk to the wedding destination, and the room was very nice. The only problem we had was with a double billing issue with Expedia and the hotel. Still working that out...

The Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. They helped us find great tours in town and helped us book them on short notice.

This hotel is well situated for the traveler who needs to go to both Old Town Alexandria and the Capitol. While I would call it a hike, it is a reasonable walking distance from the heart of Old Town Alexandria, with sightseeing opportunities along the way. Guests should consider making the walk at least once. This property appears to be of recent construction. There are some good nearby restaurants, in easy walking distance. I also like that it is across the street from a grocery store, this facilitates the purchase of bottled beverages and deli style foods for those occasions when one wishes a break from restaurant food. It features desirable amenities such as the pool and the fitness room. The computer in the lobby worked and, more importantly, so did the printer. The lobby is spacious and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful. I got the room for an out-of-state associate who had to make a court appearance to file documents in person and to make oral representations regarding a case in an Alexandria court. The quality of the accommodations contributed to success in these ventures.
