“comfortable clean and just nice”

We stayed at the hotel while visiting my son at ft belvoir it was very convenient. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful this was our 2nd time staying here and both times were great when i ever visit Washington in the future i plan to stay here easy easy easy to get to the metro

Very nice hotel. Large stand up shower (no bath tub) with removable shower head. very clean, flat screen tv, very nice furniture...super hotel for the price!!

“Excellent although pricey experience...”

This is a better-than-average business class chain that also caters to a considerable tourist crowd in the summer. Staff is super-courteous and attentive to special requests/quirks of business travelers. Rooms are clean, wifi signal strong, business center has desktop workstations and printers for ready use. Staff will send faxes, is tolerant when you get mail or UPS/Fedex shipped from the office, gives you a call when something has arrived. They have let me extend checkout by a couple of hours when I needed to finish up a few e-mails and wash up before catching a PM flight. One of the best hotel experiences around. However, you pay for it as this is clearly one of the most expensive places in the Mount Vernon/ Fort Belvoir. My hotel of choice in Alexandria when there aren't special events in the area driving the rates through the roof...

“Close to Mt Vernon”

The only complaint we had was that the hotel governed the temperature of the room. We normally like our room cooler for sleeping. This hotel is close to Mt. Vernon and about 30 minutes from DC (pending on traffic). If you are not taking the Metro, park in the Union Station parking lot. This gives you the option to take the Metro anywhere you want or you can chose another form of transportation.

This hotel was exactly as described at Expedia.com. The hotel was sparkling - looked brand new, the rooms were spacious and very clean and comfortable. It is pricier than the surrounding hotels but very comfortable.

“a comfortable hotel bed you can actually sleep in”

everything was clean & modern. we have an orthopedic bed at home & I didn't miss it because the mattress & pillows were made of the finest quality. the hot breakfast was really nice and I was impressed there was an employee who actually monitored that area. great selection of breakfast foods & choices of beverages. something as simple as juice & a pitcher of water because we dont drink coffee. indoor pool with a life guard.the only minor little quirk was there wasn't an extra roll of toilet tissue or much on the toilet tissue roll

“Going to Mt. Vernon or Alexandria....Stay Here!”

We totally enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn and Suites. This is a brand new hotel and nicely decorated! The staff was super friendly, the breakfast extremely good, and the room very comfortable. Hotel is close to Mount Vernon...however, make sure you leave Mt. Vernon down the road you came or you will take a long sight-seeing trip through the town of Alexandria.

“Comfy beds!”

Traveling to DC with family - hotel was a bit further out than thought. Rooms were very nice and clean. Very comfy beds! Breakfast was great. Didn't get a chance to use the shuttle but we drove to the metro station and parked which was about a 10-15 minute drive. Very satisfied with our stay!

“Great place to stay while at Mt. Vernon.”

Had a very enjoyable time. The weather was perfect, as was our hotel stay. Couldn't have been more pleased. Loads of eating/shopping areas within a few miles of Hotel (toward Alexandria).
