“Great Hotel in Great Location”
Hotel was wonderful. Full breakfast buffet every morning. Great happy hour every night. Location was ideal! Right across from the Metro. So convenient. Free shuttles provided by hotel to locations within a 2 mile radius.
“Good for week vacation”
We arrived early and were able to check in early. Really enjoyed breakfast and managers reception each day- nice perk at the end of a long day sightseeing. The location was a plus since it is right across the street from the metro and the old town shuttle bus. Would have been nice if the beds were queen sized instead of full size since we slept 2 to each bed. Workout room was nice but too hot. Front desk was helpful but not willing to give advice about restaurants.
“Very Nice”
This hotel was great, especially if you are there on business. Full breakfast is included, buffet style but, stuff like eggs, and waffles are made to order. It's really an amazing variety of stuff. The best part was their manager's happy hour in which wines and certain drinks are FREE! It has a nice atrium with glass ceiling, so it makes it extra cheerful with the foliage, etc. to sit and have a drink or a cigar. The room was spacious, the mattress was extremely comfortable & brand new (the tags were still on). We would go back again, no hesitation.
“This is the place to stay!”
I would make a point for or family to stay in this hotel when we visit the D.C. & Virgina area. Nice indoor pool, hot tub, great happy hour that was free! The staff always smiled, took care`of any needs and at the time we stayed, provided a free shuttle service within 2 miles. We went to dinner at the water front area and promptly picked up afterwards!
“A Hotel Treasure”
When we went to Washington we wanted some place out of the city with easy access to the metro. This was perfect. The metro was right across the street. There was also a little bus that took people downtown Alexandria. The hotel had an opional feature of a cooked breakfast daily. What a treat that was. Omlets, fried bacon, eggs benedict, fried eggs, waffles, cereal, coffee, tea, any thing that you could want they had with a fry cok to specially cook yours. The room was spacious. with a microwave a little refrigerator and a sink. Everything except the thing to cook. The hot tub and the pool were a wonderful place too. I really enjoyed our stay there and would do it again. Our stay was great in every way. Even the service at the hotel when our stool kept running was taken care of promptly. Within 10 minutes. I couldn't believe it.
“Well-kept secret!”
We had an excellent experience. The hotel is attractive, well-maintained with a friendly atmosphere. Everything was clean, the full breakfast was super and the happy hour was pleasant (complete with popcorn and chips). We'd definitely stay here again.
“Great Hotel for a family vacation to Washington.”
We booked two rooms for our family of 5 (3 boys-10,14,17) and the hotel was great. The rooms were big, enough room for the boys to spread out. The hotel was literally right across the street from the metro, so travel around the city was great. It was also 1 block from King Street, the main drag through Old Town, with a free trolley running up and down the street til 10 PM. My son and I were able to walk home from the waterfront as well. The hotel provided a fabulous breakfast each day, with made to order omlettes, eggs, and pancakes as well as the standard buffet items. Each evening, even on the weekend, there was a cocktail hour with free beer, wine and $2 mixed drinks along with some munchies - great way to wind down before going out for the evening. The kids enjoyed the pool and thought that the design of the building was the coolest. All the staff were courteous and attentive.
“Great!”
We were so happy to have great accomodations for our DC trip. This is the perfect location as it's right across the street from the Metro. The hot breakfast each day was a plus and a money saver. Old Towne Alexandria is a beautiful quaint little town with great shopping. Can't recommend this place enough!
“A definite do again!”
Very easy to get to from the interstate. Right across the street from the King St subway station. There is also a trolley in this parking lot that will take you up and down Duke St so you don't have to walk. Beautiful view of the George Washington Mason's Museum. There is an internet access room free to guests in the lobby, computers included. A very pleasant visit and we will definitely stay here next time we go back to Olde Town Alexandria!
“Fabulous!”
I was unfamiliar with the area, but knew I could trust Embassy Suites. Turns out, I could not have been in a better locatiion. Train station right across the street. It was also the stop for buss's and free trolly. Lots of great restaurants and Whole Foods, right within a block or two. King street one block away. That's the main street filled with fabulous shops and restaurants all the way down to the river. The Embassy Suites front desk people are so nice and accommodating. The made or order breakfast was really nice to have. Dukes restaurant in the hotel served really delicious food too! Rooms were clean, updated, and comfortable. I'd really recommend this hotel.
