When I called, I was told there were no rooms available, so I went online and made a reservation that way (apparently there were rooms). It would have been helpful if we had been told that we only get our room cleaned if we ask for it; we returned from a funeral to a room that was humid and smelled like wet towels. When we went to the front desk to ask for clean towels we were told we were lucky to get them because usually there's no one there after 10. On the plus side, one morning after breakfast had closed, a kitchen staff employee was SO HELPFUL; there was no coffee in the lobby canisters so she dropped everything she was doing and went and got us some; she was lovely and very polite.

There was someone else's hair on the sheets, and so much static electricity in the bed that every time I moved, I was shocked. The property is in need of upgrade. The staff was nice, intake was "OK". Typical services like water pressure and WiFi were acceptable.

I visited multiple times over a period of 2 months or so my review maybe different than most. Pros: The staff are really nice and helpful. The location is good and is only 10 minutes from the airport and is along the bus route. You could take the metro from the airport to Reston Town Center and from there take a bus (950)that drops you in front of the hotel. The neighboring building has a 711 and papa johns along with a halal restaurant Knossos nearby. There is a (limited) selection free breakfast from 7 to 10am, but beats nothing.If thats not for you, there is a bagel place that is 10 minute walk away. The facility does have a small laundry room with a washer and dryer if you really need one. The cons: Most rooms are clean. However, some blankets with holes in them (why re-use ?) . During one of my stays i was in a room that had what appeared to be mold on the shower curtain ( not the tub). Again, why not just dispose of it. Also, While the towels are clean, I have received several with stains. Again, why not just throw away. Internet: while available, it is really slow. I remember days when most hotels had fast internet. Overall a mostly postive place to stay .

Great little hotel, clean and quiet! Nice neighborhood too, an Outback Steakhouse, Safeway and gas station within a 3- mile radius. Would definitely stay there again. Staff was super friendly and there was a decent breakfast bar as well.

This hotel was understaffed and the maintenance was sub par. When they finally found a room it was fine but it took them three tries. The staff was veryn polite and helpful but there just werent enough to take care of all the problems. Too many things just didn't work.

Horrible-bed bugs and no refund!
I had just had surgery and I needed a clean, comfortable room. Our room had bedbugs and we were switched to another room. It was difficult because I had just had surgery. The second room had a broken refrigerator. It was difficult to move another room but we had to because of the bedbugs, when I went to check out, I asked for a refund. I was told he would have to speak to the manager. I never heard from Comfort Inn. I contacted Hotels.com. They contacted Comfort Inn in Herndon. They refused to give me a refund. They also said I never had any any complaints. This is very rude and unacceptable. I want a full refund. They’ve refused to give me anything. Hotels.com gave me a it $30 reward for a future stay. Now I have to contact American Express to see if I can get a refund.

The front desk staff was not friendly, the grounds are awful it says it’s pet friendly but no poop bags, our room bathroom light was out damage to the wall . Breakfast was awful no eggs limited selections , needs major upgrades. Felt unsafe , answered no NBC TV. Great location to everything but that’s it

Be careful of occupying a room on the third floor, facing the front of the hotel. Powerful lights are aimed at the building, and the bright lights are difficult to keep out of your room at night, even with blackout shades.

It's ok. Nothing fancy. There is a lot of rust in the bathroom. They need to update the bathrooms. they look pretty old. the room decorations are minimalistic; nothing fancy. basic decor. the hotel is fairly close (2.0 miles) to the Metro train station. i wish there was some place to eat nearby; a bar would be nice
